I have two medium sized dogs (30 and 40 lbs) my old clippers were crushing or splintering my 40 lb dogs nails and wanted to try something different. After some research I settled on these, and glad I did. They are super sharp and cleanly cut his nails. I have small hands, have a hard time finding small enough women's gloves to fit, and don't find any issues with the grip and use of these clippers. I've had larger dogs in the past (rottweilers) and could see these easily working for their thick nails...highly recommend!

Good quality clippers. They feel solid, and are very sharp. I like theock feature for travel. I do find the guard kind of annoying. It is to far away to prevent damage to the quip. I suppose it stops you from cutting way into the quip, but you can still easily harm your dog, especially with smaller breeds. If it wasn't for the guard, I would give them a 5.

Excellent nail clippers for large dogs (German Shepherds). These clippers are sharp , they cut clean and easily. The nail clipper fit my hand (women's medium )perfectly. The rubber coating on the handles gave me a secure grip, the nail guard didn't get in the way and they didn't lock up every time I closed them. Pretty much a perfect tool for home dog nail trims. And a great buy, less than one nail trim at the Vet's.

i’m a professional dog groomer and my most recent pair of top paw large nail clippers broke so i was on the hunt for a pair just as good. i’ve gone through many but this is by far the best pair. very comfortable in your hands and cuts large, thick dog nails with ease! there is also a locking mechanism that keeps them closed. love them!!

Finally clippers that will cut my huge dog’s huge thick nails. I was amazed how well they worked. I have bought eight different pairs in the last year- all advertised to cut huge thick nails. None have worked until now.

Bought these clippers 4 years ago for our 2 German Shepherd Dogs and they are still going strong. Good quality blades have retained their sharpness with no signs of letting up. If/when they become dull I would definitely purchase another pair. The only thing we didn't like was the safety tab that limits how much claw gets cut...it just got in the way and made claw trimming more difficult for us. But it was easily removed, so don't let that sway you away from these one bit. We highly recommend these, especially for larger dogs.

We have two European Dobermans 125lbs each, this does not work with them. Their nails are too thick for this product to use
