Easy, fits, and works! No more cold/hot car!
Amazing, instructions are offered for both video and written with pictures. They’re are easy to follow and the product worked with ease! I had the start X at first but had an issue of getting the T-harness to fit with my manufacture’s console cable. This product fits just fine! The product does also come with a plastic tool to help open your floor board and driver console. The remote start works and I have had any issues with it so far. It has only been a day though.

Easy install.
Easy installation. On this one, I realized you press the lock button on the car remote, four times with a one sec pause. Also it does turns off the engine if you press the same presses. Takes less than 30 minutes to install if you have all the tools set up

Great but poor instructions and support
Worth buying but manufacturer needs MUCH better install support for it. I did finally successfully install it on a 2017 Highlander (with automatic transmission, auto headlights, push button start and NOT a hybrid) it works great and will shut itself off (while keeping the doors locked) if you don’t get to your car within about 15 minutes. The unit comes with NO instructions in the package (just a web link). So here is an outline to help you that I wish I had on my install. Tools needed: lots of light #2 Phillips screw driver (4 screws-2 in steering column- 2 in lowest dash segment) plastic plunger/Dashboard Removal Pry tool or tape covered flat blade screwdriver. (for side panel) #10 socket for removing dash bolt on lower left under kick trim. Inside the box is a wire harness in a plastic sealed bag, brain box, ziplock pouch of miscellaneous parts. On the box is a link for "installation instructions" that takes you to their website. At the website you must first register (mandatory name and email, then your car year, make and model) before they will gives you, not full instructions but a pdf “Tip Sheet” that is the poorly written. No instructions are given for removing your cars dashboard panels. This is where the YouTube video from 12 volt solutions that another reviewer Ben Clark mentions comes in, and is very helpful (I found 3 videos from 12 volt on the subject). Watching the video helps in removing the cars trim/dashboard panels and seeing where the wire harness is installed. Note, THIS product installs using only two of the cars wiring ports that are shown in the 12 volt video and programing the black brain box is different (easier) then the 12 volt unit in the video. Install overview: (I first dry fitted all the connections to the brain box before I attempted to install it and found many wires and din fittings go unused, so don’t be surprised by the extra wires) Then un-install all the dry fittings from the brain box. On the wire harness, connect the male to the female 6-pin plug labeled EVO ALL to the 6-pin plug labeled Door Lock. Install the two wire harness connectors to the car (1 in back panel 1 in steering column) then take the brain box (with nothing plugged in it) and follow the “STEP 2: Program the Components” instructions on the Tip Sheet (this is how to program the brain box) that’s it. Done. Hopefully when you buy this unit they will have better support in place. My issues was in reading the pdf “Tip Sheet” I found it poorly written. Step 1 the title is also the instruction where Step 2 and Step 3 the Title outlines what is covered in that step. Confusing! Yes! FYI, in the miscellaneous parts bag is the "Valet Switch" option that has to be wired. Instructions on it are poor and that it has to be wired is not ideal. During my install I did call tech support and found they only have a few people in tech support. All were answering other peoples issues, so no one would talk to me. The operator said they prefer to respond to email then talk on the phone. The operator took my question and a tech support answered back about two hours later with nonsense that didn’t help my question, so don’t expect fast service or the correct answers on their first response.

Works perfectly on a 2017 Highlander XLE (V6 gas)
The hardest part of this install was taking the trim panels off but with the included plastic tools and a youtube video (i just searched 2017 highlander xle mpc) I was able to install this without any issue. It took me about a half hour to install. It's kind of annoying that the engine shuts off when you open the door but since it has start-stop technology anyway it's not going to hurt the engine at all. The starter is beefy. The engine shutting off when you open any door is a feature of the Toyota firmware and not the fault of the manufacturer of this device. Any Fortin Evo-ALL based unit (like this one) will do this and even the $500 factory installed units shut off the engine. Overall I am really happy I did not wait until next winter to buy this. We've already had some pretty cold days and getting into a nice toasty car and having the window already defrosted is nice. Add that to the factory installed heated seats and it's perfection. Please note that you must set the front windows to defrost before you get out the previous night. The unit will not automatically turn on your defrost for you if it had been set to something else previously. Oh, and after install make sure that you didn't accidentally pop your hood or pop your gas door when moving the trim around.

No good
Absolutely horrible product and horrible customer service I got one last week installed it and it did not work took it to a professional they checked everything I had everything hooked up just right. Just to make sure they unhooked all three hooked it back up still would not work we have a Toyota Highlander 2018 and it says it worked on that. It is not a hybrid either. Hillary returned it not another one received it yesterday I installed it today and it does exact same thing as the other one did. I called for customer support last week left a three messages no one ever bothered to call me back call again today and she said she would have to set up a work order and that they would have to call me back sometime next week because everyone is booked today but they didn’t bother to call me back last week after leaving three messages. Don’t waste your money or your time because you will not get any help from them either
