Kaytee Clean & Cozy Extreme Odor Control Bedding, Made for Small Animals, 40 Liters

This is very good quality litter for my guinea pigs. One of my little fur potatoes has a deformed foot so in combination with soft blankets and mats, she is a happy little girl, able to run around with a limp. Pee clumps well in the litter, making for easy clean up. Poo pellets with pigs require just a sweep up so not sure about other types of fur babies, but certainly well suited for pig life. Promises expansion and it delivers. I use about half a bag per litter change, so these two bags last me about 1-2 months depending on the playpen size I configure. I find great value for the amount of litter I’m able to bed down for my girls. No chemical smells and is soft for pig feet.

Well, first off drop the expectation of truly ZERO odor for 14 days. Thats just impossible and I have no idea why any product would bother making a claim that sets them up for failure. Rodents are stinky critters no matter what. However, compared to other “odor control” beddings I did find this one exceptional. I am VERY sensitive to animal smells so was having to deep clean our mice cage daily with spot cleaning throughout the day. With this bedding I can actually let it go a couple days with just once a day spot cleaning on hard surfaces like their wheels and even then it’s not overwhelming with stink like it would after even 1 day with other brands. This bedding truly does absorb and somewhat neutralize their urine musk. I’ll be sticking with this brand for sure. And it does break apart and fluff up quite a bit to extend the amount making it a good value especially since I don’t have to throw out all the bedding as often as I had been doing before.

This bedding is very soft, keeps odors under control, and my guineas pigs loves it. Great quality and easy to clean.

We've been using this for our bunnies for about a year now and love it! We added it to our Subscribe & Save, so it's now a regular item for us. We use it in their litter box and it's super absorbent. It doesn’t mask odors perfectly but does an okay job—as long as you clean your enclosure often, like once a week. It’s super soft and our bunnies love it!

So after several months of using fleece liners for the entire cage I ran across an article about the usage of guinea pig kitchens where a portion of the cage is dedicated to housing the water and food for the guinea pigs, which works almost like a litter box where the piggies only urinate in that area. I use this bedding for that area and it changed our lives. It makes cleanup so much easier and the guinea pigs really like it and because they generally only urinate in that specific area, it has really cut down on the need for washing the fleece bedding. There is no scent to this particular product, which we prefer. However I don't believe we could make this product last more than 4 days before having to change out the entire kitchen pan. Maybe you could make it work for longer if you were using this bedding for an entire cage, but I've never tried doing that so I'm not sure what the result would be. Our guinea pig kitchen pan is 28 in by 28 in, and their entire cage is about 28 inches by 70 in, if that helps. We have two big boars and after four days the bedding has to be changed out, as they generally only urinate in that area. That being said I would not use another product as none we have tried work as well as this bedding. If you haven't tried setting up a dedicated guinea pig kitchen area, it worked wonders for us.

My pet rabbit likes to pee a lot and this helps with odor a lot, also a little is all you need, very durable. Super soft and great value for your buck.

I know the photos shows a rabbit, I promise you, you will be cleaning 24/7 after your rabbit with this bedding. But I consider it to be great bedding for animals like hamsters, mice, gerbils, and rats. Small rodents. It's good enrichment for those animals that like to nest. I will say, if you use this just as a litter box bedding, you will have to be changing it daily as it does not protect against the urine odor.

We have used this bedding for years for our chinchillas cage. Its super absorbent and does not have a smell. We have tried other brands but this seems to be of the best quality. A little goes a long way too. Just a small layer at the bottom and your good to go. It comes packaged looking like a large brick but breaks apart easy to its fluffy goodness. We buy this all the time and if you're looking for a high quality bedding that's soft, absorbent and odor free, then this is for you.

Firstly, this is great value for the money! It is vacuum crushed sealed, and a little goes a long way. I use daily news on the bottom and then sprinkle a generous layer of this on top, a little thicker in the sleep areas & boy were my Guinea pigs happy! They keep lying in the areas where it’s thicker the most; one of my girls sprawled out all super relaxed and content upon discovering it! They definitely are more happy & comfortable since I incorporated this bedding in their cage. It’s soft, pretty, & does seem to work well for odour control. Also, there is no weird smell to it out of the bag & based on the reaction my fur babies had, that’s a good sign. I can’t say as to 14 day odour control, I have allergies so I must change their bedding every 5-6 days max; it does work for that amount of time well so far. I will most definitely be adding this to my roster of regular pet care items I buy.

This is extremely effective and keeping the odor down, but is a bit pricey.
