Portable air conditioner
Am using it in my garage and it is doing a great job so far. I try not to set the cooling temperature too low so it doesn't have to work so hard. I set it 10 - 20 degrees lower than the outside temperature. Since it does not show where the temperature is, I bought a small one to sit on top of the unit so I can guage where to set the cooler's temperature.

Great ac and heater.
I bought multiple units from different manufacturers and were disappointed by all except this one. The heating works better than expected and cooling is adequate for a large room. Noise level is on par to a window unit.

Almost perfect portable AC.
The design of the unit is pretty slick. Looks much better in person. Comes with remote, exhaust, and window fitting. Options and button display are self explanatory. Has timer, heater, fan only, temp. adjust buttons, and a really innovative swinging flap to direct the air flow which closes the vents when the unit is turned off. Makes a real easy clean up if dust collects on the top of it. The remote I received appears to have all the same options as the button tray on the unit but the sleep and timer buttons do not work. I have to manually do it on the machine no big deal. Another small jab I have would have to be combining timer and sleep. The sleep buttons should say dim the unit display lights or just dim. The display lights are very bright in a dark room and as such you want to set the timer and turn the lights dim. But you can't one cancels the function of the other. Its really not a big deal. I just use the remote to cover the display :) . The last thing, I'm not certain of but notice i don't like, is I don't think it covers the square footage. It says 700 sq ft. MAX but I think its more like 400 sq. ft. My living room in my apartment is approx. 28' x 16' and that's being generous. 450 sq ft total. When its in this room and set to about even 72. It never shuts off. I've seen this thing going full blast for 7 to 8 hours before shutting off or use its sustaining temp mode. I can only assume means its not meant to cool this room size down. The heater on the other hand is a bit tricky. Once the mode is selected nothing happens.... but if you wait 3-5 minutes it turns on! (TIP) leave all windows open with some sort of ceiling fan for at least 30 min. It has to burn off lint or something inside of it which first gives off a bad smell. But it works well! Overall though it is what it is I still am glad to have picked this one over many others and I still think it has more options than most. Last give about this is be careful and test all options upon arrival since they do not offer free returns. Last tip cover your unit with large trash bag when not in use, saves on clean up when you want to use it.

Perfect for a small space
This was purchased for my daughter's small mobile home. It replaced an awful window unit. So far, it has served it's purpose keeping the 1100 square foot space cool and comfortable. She augments flow with fans and it does help keep the whole place cool. A little noisy but more efficient than the window unit that clogged easily.

Does not cool
I bought this for a 2nd floor apartment about 700 square feet. This product is extremely noisy and does very little to cool my apartment. Even after running this for over 3 consecutive days my apartment never got below 75 degrees, including at night. Do not buy this air conditioner it’s terrible and does not work. It also is very costly and doubled my electric bill.

Great Product
Closed in the garage and ordered this unit to add cooling to the man room. Be sure to vent this out of the room because the heat going out is unbelievably hot. I found the window vent attachment to be a bit flimsy so I may make my own. The unit itself does a fantastic job of cooling and it is fairly simple to set up for use.

Cools quickly!
We ordered this to use in our bedroom. We have central air but our room gets SO HOT. We decided to give this a whirl and ordered it recently. I normally love to put things together; I'm a puzzle lover. I found the directions that came with this confusing. The booklet has a diagram of the parts needed. When I started following the directions they were asking for parts that weren't listed in the diagram. The 3 different types of screws that came with this didn't fit the holes in the piece that wasn't in the diagram. Confusing, right? I rigged it the best I could with what they sent and hoped for the best (the screws aren't right, for sure, but they're holding it together, at least for now). The long piece that goes in the window was easy to place in my window. I was really unclear on what to do with the foam-ish tape. I tried to use it to fill gaps but it literally disintegrated in my hands and I had to use orange oil to get the adhesive off my fingers. Weird. I really liked the long piece of thick black spongy material and ended up using that to fill the gaps but there wasn't enough to go all the way around both sides of the long window piece. I'll just get myself some at the hardware store. The directions for this need serious improvement. I either need very clear diagrams that don't skip ANY steps, or very clearly written instructions. All of that said, now that it's in place it's working VERY well. The first time I used it my bedroom was heating up late in the afternoon so I turned the unit on and within 5 minutes my room was cool. I was surprised at how well it worked. I really like the remote because I can turn it on or off or up or down right from the comfort of my bed--very nice. It's simple to figure out and use, as is the panel that's right on the machine itself.I also should mention that the unit is on the bulky side but we were able to make it work. If you are really short on space this might not work for you.
