Tasty Bite Organic Channa Masala Curry is a Quick & Easy Meal over rice
Tasty Bite Organic Channa Masala Curry is a quick & Easy Meal over rice. The lentils very spicy and nutritious, highlighting their plant-based protein content and suitability with good quality. It is easy to prepare, taking just 1 minute to heat up in the microwave. It is filling and provides plenty of food for a quick meal. I like it best over rice. For the best value I buy the six pack with subscribe and save discounts and free shipping. The spicy level is rather mild for my tastes so I ass some drops of capsaicin heat to spice it up.

Delicious and convenient
These are so great to have on hand when you need a convenient, but still healthy and tasty, meal.We tend to add a little extra seasoning to overcome that slight 'shelf stable prepared food' flavor that all food like this has, but I will happily eat it straight out of the package with no modifications too!Way faster than making our own curry and way cheaper than getting takeout. Many of the options are vegan too, which I really appreciate. I believe I've tried all the vegan varieties now, and they've all been great! The channa masala is my favorite :)Note: I believe my review falls under the vegetable korma variety, which to clarify is NOT vegan. They have since changed the product info to accurately reflect that, so I've changed my review to the above.

GREAT UNIQUE STAPLE FOR ME! LOVE WITH PITA OR NAAN BREAD!
For those who do NOT eat ANY dairy, this would not be for you. But as someone who just doesn't eat meat, this is a wonderful new option for me! ALSO THERE ARE a couple CONS.....will leave those til last.I don't enjoy cooking, but enjoy at least relatively healthy dishes without chemicals I can't even pronounce. I like simple.PROS:QUICK AND EASY! - It said to microwave for 60 seconds, but I found I needed about 90, maybe because I didn't put on highest setting. LOVE I can just rip a two inch seam, plop standing up in micro and VOILA!TASTE - I was really wondering about this. I didn't want to spicy, but also didn't want to HAVE to make palatable by adding anything. This was GREAT for my taste. MILDLY spicy.PORTION SIZE - OK, I ate a whole package, but had I had some pita bread handy, I could see this being easily two meals (and fyi, my fav pita bread, I BELIEVE is Sam's Choice, I get at Walmart. It's puffy and I like the taste and texture MUCH better than more cardboard-like pita bread available at grocery stores). Yummy with Naan as well.COST: I got this for about ten bucks. Not sure if this was on sale or not, but would spend more as, with just the addition of some pita bread, feels like it could easily be two meals per package.PACKAGING: Mine was VERY well-packaged. There was additional cardboard AROUND the cardboard box it came in. Arrived in PERFECT condition.SOME CONS:It is not a BIG serving. I put it in a SMALL bowl, like a ramekin. IF you are having with naan or pita bread, yes, can be two servings pretty easily, but it is NOT a lot of food. It has quite a bit of SAT fat, cholesterol and salt for the serving size. IF your other meals of the day are low in SAT fat, cholesterol and salt, may not be a problem, but DO check package. I like because it does have iron in it and as someone who doesn't eat meat, that's a plus.BOTTOMLINE: WOULD DEFINITELY order again. I look for healthy, non-meat, simple ingredients that taste good and this fills the bill for me!

Tastes Authentic
As someone who orders Indian takeout many times a year, this tastes like the real thing. I love that it’s mild as I’m sensitive to spicy food. Even though I can easily cook my own lentils I’ve had a difficult time recreating my homemade food to taste like the restaurant so I believe this is worth the splurge. Even though it costs more than making your own bean stew, it’s flavorful and still costs less than takeout. I love how nutritious this is while being delicious. My only major complaint is the cardboard smelled disgusting like something spilled on it in the warehouse. Thankfully the pouches were fine though.

Good product in my opinion
I've tried quite the variety of Tasty Bite products and I have to admit that in my opinion they have been consistent and very tasty indeed including items that I don't buy at the store. I've read the reviews on the madras lentils, spinach and paneer, coconut squash and many others and I agree and attest to the fact they are quick (just heat and eat) and quality MOST of the time. So far, rarely have I been unpleasantly surprised by food quality or what one could interpret as quality control issues. I too am leery of products I don't know much about, but my experience with this brand has so far, proven wrong. I still like trying different stuff just to see how it is, but I have my go to items I stick with. I do believe their quality control is taken seriously.

Tastiest, lentils ever, readily available to toss on rice, eat alone or make burritos with.
Yesterday, I made the tastiest lentil burritos in the world! Yes, and I do NOT love lentils! These packs are part of my emergency food collection. However, I ran out of breakfast yesterday and decided to try something different. Well, let me tell you, in a very short 10 min, I made the best brown rice spicy lentil breakfast burritos I've ever eaten! I keep a big bowl of grains cooked for each week. I grabbed my brown rice, added 1/2 of one pouch of lentils, to a large toasted burrito wrap I also keep for staples since you can buy 100 and they stay fresh forever, heated it up, added some fresh pickled cabbage I also make each month, a handful of mixed greens, feta cheese & onions, (takes no effort to make your own pickled cabbage, just a few ingredients thrown into a large glass jar or bowl) and WOW! Lentils do not need to be boring. The main thing I have learned here is about saying yes, instead of no to trying new tastes or foods I previously said no to, to consider trying newer options when they are available or present themselves. I used to say no to curry, well now I see I can have an open mind about using new spices I do not traditionally use and then start to use them myself.
