Excellent wiring flexibility, good value, but rather harsh light.
The ballast went out in one of the five 16-year-old fluorescent fixtures in my basement workshop, so I decided it was time to upgrade the lighting for that whole section of the shop, and after reading reviews and conferring with a few folks who've already gone through this effort I chose this 6-pack of LED fixtures.I wanted 5000K color temperature because I think it's perfect for woodworking (my fluorescents were 5000k also). The manufacturer rates these at 5500 lumens ... I'm always skeptical of such ratings, but I wanted at least as much light as I had previously. These are 40W fixtures, so 6 fixtures x 40W = 240W total, which compares favorably from a power draw perspective to the 32W x 2 bulbs per fixture x 5 fixtures = 320W I was using before. The 80W difference isn't enough difference for a big ROI (about 7000 hrs to break even at $0.13 / kWh), but at least it's less than before and I'm getting slightly better coverage due to the additional fixture. The provided wiring kit is excellent, allowing for many different configurations ... individual plug in (with integrated switch) ... individual hard-wire ... daisy chain in a solid line (head to tail) ... daisy chain using pre-made pigtails ... or any combination of those. I used the small adapter to connect two lights (#2 and #3 in the third pic) head-to-tail, and used the plug-ins for the others because I already had outlets in the ceiling from my previous installation.Physical installation options are limited, however. Two surface-mount clips are provided for each fixture, which do a very good job of securing the fixtures on a flat surface, but if you want to suspend the fixtures you'll have to get creative because they are extremely lightweight and no suspension hardware is included. After playing with possible mounting locations, I was fortunate to find locations on the ceiling for 5 of the 6 fixtures that would provide lighting in the desired areas without causing harsh shadows from the duct work running down the middle of the shop ceiling. But I needed to drop one of the fixtures (#4 in the third pic) below the duct to properly illuminate the workbench below, so I used pocket screws to secure a couple of 2x4 scraps to the joists and mounted the fixture to the ends of the 2x4s (see second pic). The overall light provided is excellent, a good bit brighter than my old fluorescents (which likely had gradually gotten dimmer over the years). As you likely know, this is very difficult to show in photos ... photo #1 shows one of the LED fixtures next to one of the fluorescent fixtures, and maybe you can get a sense that the single LED tube is at least as bright as the dual-tube fixture next to it.My only real gripe about this lights: there are no diffusers over the LEDs so the light is very harsh (which you can sort of see in the pics) and throws sharp shadows. As such, you'll want to consider that when positioning them if shadows over your work bench (or wherever) are a concern.Overall, I'd give these maybe 4.5 - 4.7 because of the lack of any diffusion, but for the price and ease / flexibility of installation I think they're a very good value and I recommend them. Now I just hope they'll last for at least several years.

Good Set of lights
The item was as described. I am not a light meter so I can’t say for sure that the light is not as bright as a previous series however they are very good. The new design works with the old designed and setup is a tiny bit more attention orientated but nothing to reduce the. All required hardware is included and make for different configurations. One caution i will provide is that you have to ensure any fittings used to expand or extend length is properly seated otherwise you will experience flickering and definitely a shortout of a light (It didn’t happen with these but did with different purchase). Overall I am totally satisfied with these lights.

Excellent lights at a reasonable price
These lights are great. This is my second order of the lights. I replaced my old 8 foot fluorescent tubes with these LED replacements about three years ago. They were great in my garage and now I’m putting some in my basement.

Long Term Review
Recommend Barrina 8FT LED Shop Lights, T8 72W 10000LM 5000K. Bought twelve of these led lamps for shop. Used eight, kept two in reserve if installed light failed. After 2.5 years I have not had to replace any lamps. No LED has burned out. This light is bright white and lights up the entire garage. The lights have not faded in their intensity. They are instant on at full brightness even when temps are below freezing. Very lite weight and easy to installed. Used two 1'' conduit anchors per light to mount on ceiling. Would definitely recommend. Just purchased more Barrina light for basemnet.

Decent lights but not backwards compatible and hardware kit was incomplete
I am very disappointed with these lights. I am a repeat Barrina LED shop light customer having bought a dozen of a different model of light from them over the last few years. The older model was not available when I was shopping so I ordered these newer ones in the expectation that that the cordage would be interchangeable so I could link the new ones into my existing network of older ones. There was no explicit mention that they were not compatible and the cord plugs/sockets looked identical to the older ones so I ordered them. They are not compatible so, while I would rate the new lights themselves as quite bright and effective, if you are trying to network them into an older set, these won't work for you. Also, the mounting hardware was incomplete. I only received 11 mounting brackets but you need 2 per light and with 6 lights that mean you need 12 brackets so that's a miss. In addition, they only sent 14 screws and again, the kit math says I should have received 24 (2 per bracket) so another significant miss. Very frustratingUPDATE: Barrina contacted me and offered a full refund. I will purchase the old style lights with the refund since they are back in stock again. Nicely done Barrina, thank you. Would recommend and very satisfied.
Have used these before. Work great, easy install, look great. Beware most brands have proprietary connectors so that is one reason I have stayed with one brand as well as they are a good quality.

Great product. Great support.
I have purchased several of the Barrina T8 products. For my own use in my workshop and my sons use in his business. The lights are incredibly bright, installation is easy and configuration is flexible. I purchased another T8 six pack recently and found two of the tubes damaged. Barrina's support was exceptional and the resolution more than satisfactory. I would not hesitate to purchase additional products as the need arises.
