Great stuff; works well with no adverse effects
Works better than any other product I've tried to control various forms of algae in a 3000 gallon pond. Water gets and stays clearer than I've seen it previously when using other algae control products. I don't have any fish to be concerned about but it hasn't harmed any of the water lilies or other pond plants. Only downside is for me it can be a bit expensive if I use as much as the directions say every week, so I'll often stretch out the applications to a lesser frequent schedule and I've found a frequency that works well for my situation.

Crystal Clear Koi Pond Again!
Went into August with crystal clear water in my koi pond... Until algae decided to take over. The water turned green and I couldn't see any of my fish. I came across this product and gave it a shot. Took two doses, and my pond is almost back to crystal clear again. The directions are easy to follow. This product works! And the 21 fish I have in my pond are all doing fine. Highly recommend if you need to clear up your pond. Just make sure you read the directions! You need to keep the pond aerated while using it. I have 2 aerators and a waterfall.

Crystal clear water all year!!
Tried others none of them worked as well as this one did! We didn’t have any mold or algae all summer, water was crystal clear. Will purchase this again and again! Recommend highly for water fountains.

Very effective but cause my fish extreme stress
I'm torn when it comes to this product. I started using Algaefix last year, and the results were truly incredible. Overnight (quite literally) my pond went from a soupy, stringy mess to see-to-the-bottom clear. So of course, I bought more of this for the 2015 season. After my first application this year, I'm wondering if they switched to a new formulation. Here's why: Our pond had a pretty heavy algae bloom this spring. The water was green and like last year, I had a lot of string algae and floating algae. I dosed the pond with the same amount of Algaefix that I used last year and like before, the water cleared up significantly overnight. However, this time around, my fish were VERY negatively affected. I have a few small koi and a few goldfish in my pond and when I checked on them the morning after treating, they were all hanging listlessly at the surface or on the floor of the pond. Those at the top weren't gasping, just hanging there. They were so sluggish that I was actually able to reach in and pick one up with the fish putting up almost no struggle! I thought for sure they would die. I have a waterfall, a spitter, and two aerators in my pond, so this was clearly not a result of having too little oxygen (something the directions warn of for this product). About three days after treating, the fish are now moving around again. I'm torn as to what to do and how to rate this product. On one hand, it does work, and it works very well. However, I'm concerned that continued use may stress or even kill my fish. If you have fish or other aquatic animals, you might consider trying something else first. If you're fighting a really bad algae infestation or don't have aquatic animals, though, this is admittedly a good product for removing algae quickly and efficiently.

Green to clear water
This product was amazing for my pond. I went from having green water to clear water. The hardest part was gauging how much to use initially because I built a pond where an 80 foot palm tree had existed before we dug it up. My pond is between 200 - 300 gallons. So everything for me has been learn and adjust as you go. I followed the instructions, pour 'X' amount (based on gallon size) for 3 consecutive days and then once a week after that. I have 2 yellow belly turtles, 16 goldfish, 4 kois, 15 minnows and 4 plecos and an undetermined amount of local snails that I have 0 idea how they moved in, but they did, and none of them seem affected or bothered by this product. Definitely recommend, worth your money.

Amazing results on just two days. Two months of algae bloom due continuous rain and sunny weather. Never experienced this in with my pond before. Fishes could no longer be seen. Fantastic API Algaefix ... My pond is restored to be crystal clear again.
