Awesome buy!
I have had a canvas print of my dog since 2014....yes you read that right and we meant to frame it but we just tacked it on the wall (yes it looked as tacky as it sounds) it was in our laundry room which also served as a place to house their items and crates. Fast froward to 10 years later I remodeled and redid the artwork. We'll i never got poor gal framed and I thought I wonder if I could do a canvas and came across this kit. Genius! I was worried with some of the reviews but honestly, it was easy and adhesive was fine but I did staple gun mine. Any professional canvas I have ordered has it (I mean they look way better than what I did) but I'm proud of what I did. It looks great! Easy Instructions that include helpful photos in color. Highly recommend! Great product and I would definitely purchase again!

Sturdy and Hassle-Free: A Review of the DIY Solid Wood Canvas Frame Kit
Bought this for my wife's Paint By Numbers masterpiece. The first thing that struck me about this kit was its impressive durability. The solid wood construction is nothing short of exceptional. The frame feels substantial and reliable, which is crucial for supporting the canvas and ensuring the longevity of my artwork. It's not flimsy like some other frame kits I've used in the past, making me confident that my creations will stand the test of time. Ease of installation is where this kit truly shines. Setting it up was an absolute breeze. The provided instructions are clear, concise, and easy to follow. Even for someone like me, who's not particularly handy with tools, the step-by-step guide made the assembly process a stress-free experience. I appreciated that the necessary hardware and tools were included in the kit, saving me a trip to the store. From start to finish, it took me no more than 20 minutes to have my canvas stretched and secured onto the frame, which is quite impressive. What I love most about this frame kit is that it doesn't sacrifice quality for ease of use. The finished product looks professional and sleek, with no wrinkles or sagging in the canvas. The 16 x 20 inch size is perfect for many of my artworks, and the frame adds a polished touch to my oil paintings and wall art. Whether I choose to display my creations or gift them to others, I am confident that the canvas frame will enhance the overall presentation. In conclusion, the DIY Solid Wood Canvas Frame Kit (16 x 20 Inch) has exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic addition to any artist's toolkit, providing both sturdiness and simplicity. The durability of the materials, combined with the straightforward installation process and clear instructions, make it a top choice for anyone looking to showcase their oil paintings or wall art with a professional touch. I highly recommend this kit to fellow artists and DIY enthusiasts – you won't be disappointed. Now I send this to the Louvre to add to their collection.

Great will be buying again
If you watch the video first shown on the product page you'll find it much easier to put together. I found it very simple. It is sturdy and of good quality. The adhesion is very good. My only issue is that my paint by number canvas wasn't a standard size that fit the frame. I ended up with a blank canvas border showing. Instead of needing a 16x20 frame I needed a 14x18 frame. Make sure you measure what frame you need as described!

Size and quality
It seems like there is a considerable amount of space you need on the outside for the frame to properly stretch so I have to really emphasize the importance of reading the description and get a size that will properly fit it. The glue did not stick as well as I’d hope. It would make more sense to staple the canvas down for extra support. I do like the amount of sizes they offer and they shipped/packed it very well. It also came very quickly!

An excellent stretching system that moonlights as a brainteaser
All the framers around me were quoting a 2-3 week timeline to stretch and frame a Christmas present which I still had to ship so I decided to be brave and attempt this DIY myself. I am very pleased with this product. I got the one for 11 x 14 inches and at $15, an excellent price point. The package is small and there are very few parts to deal with. I had read the previous reviews so I was ready for the existential crisis or so I thought. I got past step 4 in the instruction pamphlet and then my world just crashed. I could not figure out for the life of me how to progress to Step 6, it legitimately felt like it would require magic. I literally spent 10mins in confusion. Eventually, my brain figured it out and I was able to stretch my own canvas perfectly! I was impressed with how adhesive it is! It took me a total of 15mins to get this done (with 10mins spent confused so 5mins really). Four key things to note are 1) you really should have 2 inches spare at each edge so plan for that first, a minimum of 1.7 inches to work. I only had 1.7inches and made it work by folding as much as possible and covering up the extra adhesion. 2) Cut the canvas close to the edge of the bars as pictured in the pamphlet. 3) Make sure the edge with adhesive (that is not attached to the canvas is facing you/outward, the adhesive is STRONG so pulling up and down is not recommended 4) Step 5 literally means fold the bars into each other i.e. turn each bar 90 up and in till they form a square, don't worry too much it is a wonky fit, the staples help hold the right shape. Again, I highly recommend this frame set, it is quick to install and does the job perfectly. Happy DIY-ing!

Exactly as described
This product is fabulous. I printed my canvas 24 x 34 to fir this 20 x 30 frame. I followed the videos to assemble it and it went together flawlessly. Even though it is a pretty large canvas, it stretched fine with no wrinkles and it taught. The metal corner braces went in using just thumb pressure, but I did tap it with a hammer just a bit. If you assemble this properly, they slide right in.

Not good quality
The quality is very poor. After application, the canvas does not stay in place because the glue is not strong enough. Additionally, the wooden beams started bending in the middle, making the product unusable.

Easy to use for first time
This was my First time stretching a canvas and this kit had easy to follow directions and made the process as easy as could be expected. After purchasing this kit in 48” x 36” and letting it sit for 6 months I realized that I ordered the wrong dimensions. I contacted the P&L Art customer service and they sent me the correct sized bars (2-32” to replace the 36”) that I needed for the width free of charge. Great customer service and for that I would definitely recommend. A few notes on assembly. If you have never stretched a canvas do yourself a favor and watch a YouTube video or two before starting. I didn’t and wished I had just to better prepare on how to staple canvas. Second, I did buy staple gun, staple remover, and canvas stretcher pliers and used all three which are not part of this kit. I think I would have had a loose canvas if I hadn’t have used them. And last, I didn’t cut and tuck the corners per the kit instructions. I was just too afraid to cut into my canvas so I folded and stapled instead. Also, these bars result in a wider, gallery style wrap. For the canvas I stretched, I Intend to frame it and the gallery thickness may make that more difficult but the cost savings will surely out weight that. I did have one side of my frame that I over stretched and can see it slightly bending inward (on left side of picture) so be careful to not do that. That is where watching some YouTube videos will help. There is a pattern in which it is recommended to stretch and staple to get canvas taught without overstretching. I unfortunately viewed the video after I had already stretched and stapled my canvas per the kit instructions and still had a little slack in the canvas that I needed to fix. Some stretchers come with middle support bars which would have prevented this but this kit does not. Since I originally ordered the width to wide and the company sent me replacement bars for the width, I’m going to cut the extra bars that they didn’t make me return and use them as a support bar. I can say that I stapled and removed staples several times (all from the very back of the canvas in the white space) and feel that if I hated it I could still take it to a professional and nothing I did would prevent them from wrapping as usual, so the risk of screwing it up with this kit is minimal. With that being said, I probably would choose professional canvas stretching if I had been mounting and expensive piece of artwork. Mine was a photo canvas so replacement was not an issue if I botched it.
