Peavey Color-Coded Microphone Id Tape

Works just fine as electrical tape. More importantly, I've found that when working with a complicated studio setup, I'm always surprised how helpful the color-coding actually ends up being. This is just electrical tape in pre-cut 1/2" widths. This pricing is pretty good for what you get, especially considering I've had trouble finding 1/2" electrical tape (and in all these colors). I've used this tape to color-code 8 wireless handheld microphones, their receivers, an 8-channel XLR snake, and magnetic strips for a sound board. In all these applications, the tape has worked well and seems to be holding up. I can't yet speak for the future of the adhesive, but I hope it doesn't result in sticky fingers or gear. From what I can tell from the tape cores, this isn't really "name brand" electrical tape, so I don't expect much from the adhesive. There's definitely a lot of tape here, especially if you're just using it for some microphones and related accessories. It's not as much as a full roll, but I imagine it's enough for most peoples' applications. Note that there is no black tape, so all of these colors work on black microphones, cables, mixing consoles, etc.

I purchased this tape along with the foam microphone covers and they were exactly what I needed. I teach music and drama to over 830 students and we have at least 8 productions a year. The tape and covers helped identify assigned microphones for kindergarten and 1st grade so easily. Additionally with over 250 students in each production, using the tape and covers assisted our sound person. The color variety and width of tape was perfect. I would definitely recommend the product!

I bought these to donate to church since the church band seemed to always be getting the mics confused. This has totally fixed that problem. The tape has been on the mics for a couple months now and it seems like they just taped it today.

Narrow tape (1.5-inch), 8 colors. Sticks well, but there is a better option as the NSi EWG Easy-wrap 10 color assorted electrical tapes which are 3/4-inch wide, triple in length, and costs 5 bucks less. I bought both and found myself using the Easy-wrap electrical tapes instead of the Peavey for my microphones & mixer labeling.

Use the tape to color code microphones. Good quality tape and good value.

This was the widest mic ID tape that we could find. It worked alright, just had to wrap it a few times so it could be seen from the sound loft. Pricing, number of colors and delivery time was wonderful.
