Great Lock!
Great lock. Works great! This was perfect for what I need it for. I love the fact you can make it to the combination of your choice!

Holds up well in harsh midwest weather
I am using this outdoors all year long in the midwest (northern illinois) and it has surved the hot summer days and cold snowy and wet winters. No signs of wear or locking up. The rubber cover for the dials do a good job of keeping the number dials clean and usable.Ability to set or change code is a great feature.Pros- holding up well in hot summers and cold winters- long enough to fit fence latch- no signs of dials locking upCons- rubber cover for dials can fall off at times but is easy to put back on.

Must be locked in order to 'zero' out the numbers! That is really far from secure.
This lock is good and robust; however, you cannot 'zero' out the lock while it is open. That is a major security breach in my opinion. This lock will be in the back of our lot, not on the front gate as intended.

Code has to be in to lock and to unlock
Great lock. The only thing bout it is you have to have the code in it to lock it.. I don't really like that but I've got used to it.. I just have to be the one that locks up nightly. But it is what it is. I would purchase again.

Used (bought as new) but still worked so I kept it.
3 stars for Amazon not Master lock. It was in working order but was obviously used in torn up package and slightly dirty and scratched. The cover door to thedials did not close but the lock still worked ok so I needed it and thus did not return it. It will get dirty at my farm gate anyway.

Country of Manufacture, and Durability
Bought two for church gates working ok at first.Then bought two more for backup just incase, needed elsewhere too.Then one broke after opening, three of the dials won't turn.Ok, things happen.But then:Two weeks later another broke after opening, all four dials won't turn.Yesterday a third broke, won't close.Bought them April 11th and 14th, this is June 17thI have never had any problem with padlocks in 40 yearsI have used padlocks at home and in heavy construction**Not recommended at all**
