They are not sugar free. Each tablet has 2 grams of sugar, total 3 grams of carbohydrates and 10 calories. Q: What does it taste like? Does it taste like pepper?

They actually taste like ginger without the serious burn. I do alot of talking at work and throat is sore all the time and these helped keep my throat at ease. The taste is pleasant to me. But everyone is different to taste. It definitely doesn't taste like pepper

I find fisherman's friends a little to strong. These are very similar, and work great for me.
