Looks good, works great. And it's reliable too
Looks good on the desk, conference table, or festival booth; keeps my tea HOT not merely warm; simple manual touch controls, no AI or internet connectivity, no radio signal clutter from unneeded wifi or bluetooth or zigby transmissions. Oh, and no "idiot light" when it's turned off but still connected to power (it is always connected to power), but the temperature indicator lights are understated, attractive, and easy to read from twenty feet away. The temp light even stays on when the unit is off but your mug is still "steeping-temp" hot, until the mug cools to "merely warm", which is a nice safety feature. And my first Vobaga has lasted more than four years already and is going strong, looking like new! I'm buying a second one to take with me on the road so that I'll never need to unplug my home office Vobaga again.Seriously considering buying a third for downstairs so that I"m not constantly reheating my big mug of tea when I'm in the kitchen or family room.Oh, that reminds me of one thing that might be a drawback for you, with this mug warmer: the heating plate is slightly recessed into the top surface (on the new one too). So if the footprint of your big mug is wider than 3 and 5/8" (about 9cm), it won't make full contact with the hot plate. This cuts the heat transmission to your mug by about half... enough to keep it warm, but not hot enough for me. So I just use big mugs with slightly tapered bases, and they work fine. Your wide-base travel mug? not so much. Especially if it has a rubberized bottom. I wouldn't set a mug like that on the Vobaga at all because the rubber would insulate the tea even more than the little airspace would ...but also because, over time, the Vobaga at top setting is hot enough to gradually degrade the rubber, even though it isn't touching it directly! Imagine that tiny airspace becoming a coin-shaped low-power oven... Use a real mug. ;-)

Great mug warmer
This is a great mug warmer! I bought it as a gift for a family member. She absolutely loved it and uses it daily. She said it keeps her coffee nice and warm, so she doesn’t have to constantly refill or heat it up. She said the timer works well. She has not had any issues with cracking.

Works well, inexpensive
Pros: works very well. Keeps coffee hot, and heats up drinks if cool, it does take a few minutes however. Auto shut off.indicator lights are very bright. On hottest mode, it may burn skin if accidently touched.

Best Device Ever!
I am a very slow coffee drinker... (hmm, not very complimentary)I must love microwaving coffee... (hmm, let's try again)I like to SAVOR my coffee in the morning! (much better)And because of this I spend a lot of time reheating it. I like drinking from mugs because you can put them in the dishwasher so I save my insulated cup for travelling. Mugs are fairly bad at keeping heat in.Enter coffee mug warmer. This little device is my favorite purchase in years! There are many things I like about it.- First, the more important, it works. Keeps coffee hot! In fact if you cover the top of the mug it can actually reheat coffee from lukewarm to hot. It's powerful.- Three temperature settings for versatility. I start on the hottest (red) and find myself dialing it down as the mug empties to maintain perfect temperature.- Larger mug surface than most other warmers I have seen- Aesthetically there may be more sleek models out there. This one is pretty basic but the touch-sensitive controls are LED, contrast nicely, and lend a modern look to this device. When not in use it blends in nicely with my black desk.- 4 hour automatic shutoff is a great thing for empty or forgotten mugs (this is a new feature so some reviews don't mention it)Random details:- Plate reads at 275F on high, ceramic mug base is 130F, coffee inside at about 120F. The effectiveness will depend on your environment. If you have a desk fan blowing past your mug things won't work out so well.- The bottom (desk side) of the unit gets fairly warm but it is not excessive and there is an air gap to the desk. I have a glass desk and it gets mildly warm.- Wood desk? I set it on a piece of wood for half an hour and the wood got up to around 130F. This is not "hot" for wood, you can touch it and it just feels warm, but it is also not ideal for furniture. If it was my desk I would probably put it on a large ceramic coaster just to be safe.- I feel the need to say this because I keep reading of people putting plastic mugs on these or blocking the vents with cloth oven mits underneath and they wonder why things go wrong. Don't be that person. No more trips to the microwave for me!
