CCNA Flash Cards and Exam Practice Pack (CCENT Exam 640-822 and CCNA Exams 640-816 and 640-802)

The book is very good to use in conjunction with the Cisco CCNA books, especially if you are studying towards your certification as a CCNA. Top marks.

Helped me to pass my CCNA exam

I would like to give this more I really would. Don't get me wrong this book is actuly very good. If you know your Cisco stuff then flash cards are a good way to skim through the chapters and highlight the areas you are weak in. There are also some very nice Quick refrence sheets. Each of these it 2 or three pages in the book, and goes over the out line of a topic (for instance a topice may be LAyer 2 wan Protocals) Again a great way to either remind your self about an area, or again highlight weaknesses in an area. However my main consern was the CD. On it is a Boson Exam envirment that contains over 500 questions. My problem was the erros this containes. a number of the mutible choise questions have the same answer twice. ie A. NVRAM B. ROM C. Flash D. Dram E. ROM And depending if you select B or E one is correct and one is incorrect!! Also some of the simulated questions refused to complete on my PC.. When you are testing your self the last thing you want is questions like this that put you of and in some cases an can be confusing! As a Book alone I would give this 4/5 easly. however it is let down by the quility of the software.

Contains 1400 flash card virtually covering all the topics for CCNA. Has reference sheets at back which are very useful too.

This is a question and answer book -- absolutely PACKED with information and questions concerning your CCNA exam. The questions are jumbled nicely throughout the book. Each question is backed up on the reverse side of the page with the answer(s). It is exactly what the title says...they are FLASH CARDS (flash pages). Being able to review your answer and get it immediately makes it extremely vital to the learning process. You are immediately rewarded with the right answer, or you immediately research wrong answers to reinforce your knowledge. Anyone studying for thier CCNA exam, or even thier CCENT, will know how difficult and exhausting it can be, with all the information and redundancies of meanings and devices. Let's face it, it's very overwhelming. This is very much a MUST HAVE. This book WILL help you tremendously if you are going for your Certification. It's all part of practice, practice, practice, review, memorize, etc. Big Help/10-Star!!!!!!

This pack is fill with all the material that will Jolt your memory and help you pass the exam. Exam Practice Pack is included. It worked for me.

This book on its own isnt real good except for cramming. Used with a study system it is excellent. It covers more topics than you will likely find on the test but isnt that the point? If we knew what exactly what was on the test we wouldnt need a study guide or flash cards.

Please watch out whose edition's review you are reading (second versus third)! The third edition's test engine is NOT like the second. It has some improvements but lacks a feature that the second one had that I found VERY useful! The missing feature is the ability to set up a screensaver so that it displays a CCNA question, then displays your choices, then then shows you the correct answer. I found this feature VERY USEFUL since I could test myself even when I wasn't studying! To be fair, I really haven't fully tested out the third edition's test engine. It appears FINE except for the missing screensaver feature. It may even be technically more accurate plus have questions that are closer to the actual exam. It may be that the third edition's test engine is better then the second. That may be true but I REALLY miss the screensaver feature. NOTE: To use the third edition Flash Card/ICNDx exam(s), you need to activate it and download it. I found it confusing at first. Just remember NOT to lose the activation number/slip!! I REALLY hope that Cisco Press doesn't do this to their CCNP books! (Apparently Cisco Press has changed the test engine in the CCNA Flash Cards 3rd edition book, CCENT/CCNA ICND1 book, and CCNA ICND2 book!!)

I'm just going to make this short and sweet. I contribute passing the CCNA to this exact book and I keep it on my desk as reference. However, you're not buying this book for the flash cards. You're buying for the summary starting on page 634. Everything you need to know boiled down in condensed form. No bull and no fluff. Only con I have is that it comes with the flash cards. I'd be much happier if they sold this with just the summary so it didn't take up so much room on my book shelf.
