3M Rodent Repellent Coating, 250 g| Rat Protection for Engine Parts and Wires | Long-Lasting Effect, Liquid

We have a big rat problem in our apartment complex and lot of cars have been affected. Just last week rats sneaked in my seltos hood and chewed off the ac wire.On suggestion of my local car workshop owner, I got this for my seltos.It seems to be effective, but it is too early to confirm the longevity of this.Some pointers:Get the engine bay area washed before applying this.This will leave a clear shiny layer on the areas where it is sprayed.Spray when the engine is cold.Use a 2nd layer spray after 1 or 2 days.Use 2 masks and sunglasses / eyeglasses when you spray this. The smell is very strong when you spray it and if there is wind, it can enter eyes and burn.Make sure you put some newspaper or cloth over the windscreen glass, as when I was spraying with bonnet open, some part of spray went to the glass and it formed small droplets which are rough to feel and very difficult to take off.I had a hard time to remove from front glass. Car shampoo didn't help.Finally I applied a little acetone on it and it seemed to work, but the acetone cleaning can damage glass or leave residue. So I applied them in small batches and asked my cleaner to wipe it off with colin glass spray immediately.

I have noticed that rat would come but not cut the wires.

Effective product to keep rodents away. Quite strong, don't spray without proper precautions and spray only from safe distance. I had used it earlier and bought it again.

This Product seems to be working sometime but not all the time because every time I have used the entire bottle in one go and even after doing the same the rat cut the AC wiring of my car.The effect of the spray does not last for more than 21 days or so therefore I had to buy three to 5 bottles but yes other the AC wire cutting I did not see any other wiring damage done by the rats also may be because I used frequent bottles of the spray there were no other damages in the wiring which happened in my car before I used this spray.What I believe is for the wiring which is deep underneath below and difficult to reach from the bonnet may be in those unreachable areas the rats will target.Therefore, my suggestion to 3M is with this bottle of spray they should also supply some kind of a long pipe or a hose with which the deeper wiring can be reached.Thanks

The white lid inside the bottle is missing. Also the bottle is bend at the end. So I doubt someone might have utilized it before I receiving it.This time the rodent spray is not effective. Within two days the rats came back to engine bay. I think it’s time to move on to some other brand. Worst experience.

If you're looking for a spray to protect your car from rodents, this is the best option. It's a little pricey but to prevent the costly damage it's worth it. Highly recommend this !

This spray is very strong but aur beta effectiveness you have to spray it every week that is after every 7 to 8 days so that after certain period rates don't come, this is for sure. Rats do have a monotonous way to hide themselves if you spray it properly every week, rats ignore and don't prefer that area for future.Little bit costly spray as rates do visit again if you stop spraying it for longer time.
