As soon as the book arrived, I immediately started reading and couldn't put the book down! It was full of very heartfelt, thoughtful reflections and sharing. At times, I felt guilty as if I was reading someone's journal-which is never allowed, but Alisa invited the reader into some sad, happy, difficult, yet uplifting moments. I'm looking forward to the next installment! Great job Alisa!

From start to finish, I could FEEL the author's journey in my bones. This is a beautiful, embodied trip that made me crave finding ways to honor my own ancestors, the earth mother, the arts, the power of the feminine. This book is a vulnerable, artist, powerful expression that will make you want to dance!

This book is written so well that I could visualize everything! From the airplane ride to Cuba to the emotions felt on the entire journey. It's a great story aboutbtje author's love of Cuba and how her experience there changed her life.
