Unreliable Torque Readings
Out of the box I put this torque wrench on atorque meter used by the airlines to calibratetorque wrenches. The torque wrench was set to 18 ft lb and as you can see it ranges from abt 13 to 9ft lbs. A audible beep then solid tone tells the user when to stop. Tested several times see readings provided. The fourth reading is abt 16 ft-lb but I over shot 18 ft lb and went to abt 22 ft lbs on the torque meter display. As for ease of use. Setting the desired torque in my opinion is clumsy. Push and hold +/- button adjusts the settings up or down quickly which is fine. The fine tuning is where it can be frustrating. Push once, it beeps and moves one number. Push it again, it beeps and doesn't move at all or jumps 20 numbers. If accuracy is a problem then this tool isn’t for you. As much as I want to start on my Harley rocker box repair, tolerances like these won’t fall into the 18 to 15 ft lb that I have to work with so I’ll be returning this tool.

Tone is in audible in all but the quietest situations
I purchased the unit because of the tone alert and the+/-2% accuracy rating. I tried the torque wrench on a camshaft cover on a Honda motorcycle engine. Set to 90 inch lbs. At 86 in lbs it started slight clicking and the leds lit up (*hard to tell when they light as the back ground light from the display bleeds thru around them). It went to 94 before the BARELY audible tone beeped. I replaced the batteries and retried it. same thing.I could not near it over the cooling fan running on my laptop when it came on 4+ feet away. It is impractical for use especially in situations where you will be able to see it when in use or would never work in a shop situation. I am returning the unit.

It does work
Feels cheap. Has no click just a tone for when torque is correct. Trying to get it set to correct torque is hard because the way the digital up and down moves. Would not recommend.
