Easy set up!
While fighting a flu bug, I simply followed the instructions and in minutes was up and running. Not sure how others reviewed negatively, but for me, the SkyTrak lights stays on and wasnt much more difficult than plugging in a vacuum. Great Product, Great Price.

Buy extended warranty or a different manufacturer
Failed after less than a year - likely the laser curtain - only way to fix is to send back to SkyTrakSkyTrak only offers 6month warranty so repairs not coveredThis issue with the laser curtain is well documented in reviews onlineSince it will cost more than $100 to have repaired the extended warranty seems worth it or spend the extra money on more reliable manufacturer

Does What it Says
This is an awesome product.I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the SkyTrak, and am glad I decided to go with it. I have it setup in my garage with the Net Return Pro Series and their 6' x 10' hitting mat. I utilize my wifi network at home for the iPad and SkyTrak, although I have tested it out on what is called "Direct Connection", and it works fine.I have had a few issues, but at least one of them was my fault. I was having trouble one night with it not projecting the laser for my golf ball, but after researching the three light communication system I realized it was due to the SkyTrak not being perfectly level. Now when it does that, I know just to adjust it until it's in a spot it likes.Another issue I have been having recently is the SkyTrak app abruptly closing while I'm trying to use it. I honestly don't know if this is due to the SkyTrak, or my iPad (I have a brand 2017 iPad, by the way). Since I'm not sure what the cause of this has been, I'll be hesitant in blaming the SkyTrak unit. Whatever the cause, I was able to remedy the problem by deleting the SkyTrak app from my iPad, then reinstalling it. Why this worked, I have no idea, but I have used the setup multiple times since the issue with no further problems. In terms of the SkyTrak's ability to accurately track your golf shots, I think it does a great job. When I mishit, it tracks it exactly as I would have expected. The distances, club speed, ball speed, ball apex, and overall flight do seem to mimic my game, so to the best of my knowledge it is accurately reading my shots. If you are considering this unit, you need to understand it does not come with anything at the base price other than the driving range. If you want any of the challenges software, or shot history perks you will need to subscribe to their "improvement package", which I believe is around $100 per year. If you want actual golf courses, they have several software packages that range from yearly subscription amounts, to their package called The Golf Club, which you can outright buy for around $900. I haven't made my mind up on any of these additional purchases, as the main reason for my purchase was to have the driving range and be able to practice at home.Overall, I think this product does what it says it will do. I have really enjoyed being able to go out to my garage and hit 40-60 golf balls whenever I feel like it, and I know it will be a great benefit in improving my golf game.

Great value for the money
I'm rather new to golf and needed an indoor simulator. I've tried so many different inexpensive options that failed miserably. However this Skytrak device works great and tracks nearly all of my shots. The device has issues tracking my high angle shots from my loft wedge but other than that it mostly works great.

Works great !
After having read all the negative reviews I was a bit nervous buying this but I also read all the posts about how many people with the negative reviews may be setting it up incorrectly . I followed the basic instructions and it is working great for me. Accuracy is good and value for the money is great, I am a 18 handicap having played golf for 30+ years. My irons are good and relatively consistent so the data is accurate for me. I'm a 18 handicap not because of poor ball striking but terrible putting and short game.
