Popped a few then stopped popping
I would say less than half popped. I waited until the oil was smoking to add the sorghum, and stirred them as directed. They popped pretty good for a minute or two then stopped. I removed it from the heat after several minutes of no popping when it started to burn. The ones that popped tastes great, though. The unpopped "kernels" are soft enough to eat, but I cooked them too long trying to get them to pop. So, they're a little burnt. Next time i try to cook them, I'll remove them from the heat sooner, and eat them popped & unpopped. I won't buy them, again.

Best Popping Sorghum I've Found
I just popped an entire bag (pound) of this product and it's the best one I've tried so far. I would say 65-85% of it pops; if you know sorghum that is very good. Traditionally only about 50% will pop at most. It also requires a very hot pan and oil and is more difficult to pop than regular popcorn. I cannot understand all the negative reviews. Perhaps unrealistic expectations and lack of understanding. This product is great and organic to boot. I cannot eat corn of any kind and once I discovered how to pop sorghum I have been incredibly grateful to have something similar. This brand tastes excellent and pops very well in my hands - you absolutely have to know what you're doing to optimize the results. You also need to understand 20-50% of it may never pop - that's just the way it is with sorghum, regardless of brand. Period. I hope this company continues to make and offer this to those of us who can only eat popped sorghum. It is more expensive than others I've tried, but they no longer exist (!!) and this one by far pops the best I've tested to date. Keep up the great work Nate and PLEASE continuing making/offering this excellent product. Many thanks!!! :)

Sometimes it pops & sometimes very little pop
I had great luck with my first few bags of sorghum from Nate’s. I was so excited to have the taste of popcorn in my life again. I ordered 3 gallons of this product and none of it is usable. I contacted the manufacturer and they did nothing about it. I even sent pics showing how poorly it popped. Waste of money. Proceed with caution.

Don't waste your money on this product-Looking for A New Sorghum option
The kernels did not pop. A few did pop, but the majority burned. I followed the directions for the QR code on the bag to no avail. I used 1/3 cup on the first pop, so I still have much of the bag left. I called the company asking for help, left a voicemail because the phone is not manned; I never received a reply. Poor customer service and obviously no refund. Probably selling old sorghum.

Read up on the product and know what to expect
Read up on the product and know what to expect. Sorghum, by its very nature, will not have a very high pop rate and the kernels are tiny. It's a delicious novelty and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite making a huge mess trying to pop it uncontained.

Takes some time patience but good !
The media could not be loaded. I've purchased a bag of this brand already popped and loved it but its pretty expensive for the amount ,so I thought ide give it a go and do it myself ! I first tired to do it in a pot like regular popcorn on the burner with a nice amount of oil ..completely failed ! So how it worked best ?I used a small frying pan and heated the pan first til hot ! then added a tiny bit of oil and a small amount of seeds to see if it would pop. It worked! I kept covered woth the lid and shook , I did lessen the amount of seeds I put in after the video because it was still wasting them so I put half the amount and did many batches .and kept adding oil as I did batches . It didn't work w no oil for me and I also kept it covered and let in air off and on by liting lid after shaking and closing it ..over and over and repeated that until it was poped I still couldn't get evey seed poped but most and a couple batches I got all but 1 or 2.. but yea it is veryTime consuming in the end I ended up with close to 4 oz .I dont eat alot at once so it works . I still have alot left in the bag so still a better deal then buying the 4 oz already poped bags . I plan on working on My popping and seeing if i can make it easier .

never popped correctly
I followed directions - 5 different times. tried popping in microwave in paper bag, at various times and power levels. also tried it in my collapsible popcorn bowl (which is great that i got from amazon), and that didnt work either. all i got was a few popped "kernels" and a big cluster of burnt ones and the rest nothing happened at all, all in the same bag. very disappointed was really looking forward to eating even more healthy than just popcorn. waste of money, i'll stick to my organic popcorn

It's for novelty, not snacking.
It is really cute because it is like micro popcorn. So tiny. BUT...only around 50% of it popped, and it is really expensive in comparison to a pound of popcorn. I just wanted to try it. Buy it if you just want novelty. Or if you have a really ornate miniatures / doll house. The piggies (unpopped kernels) are easier to eat than unpopped popcorn. Taste-wise not much different than popcorn. It's actually kind of hard to get a big enough bite to discern much flavor. Microwave popping didn't work AT ALL (contrary to bag instructions), and although pan popping worked, it was less "performance" than what the bag indicated we could/should expect. Not worth the money IMO, although it might be fun to try the already popped snacks (like cheese or caramel flavored), as that way, perhaps the company sifts out a lot of the unpopped grains during packaging.I won't buy the popping corn again.
