One of the best books on Analog IC design specific to linear regulators
This book has been very useful to me as a practicing engineer.Excellent techniques to learn from.

Very good book based on the author's experience as a design engineer but...
Got the book and read two chapters so far. I don't think some previous comments did justice to this book. In my opinion, the book is pretty well-written, combining Gabriel's experience as a design engineer and giving some very solid and practical advice. I myself worked on LDO for one year and a half, but I can still learn something new from Gabriel's summary. Will update my review when I finish the book.Update: Gabriel's analysis in chapters 8-10 are really solid, well done! This is the first book I have read so far that give this detailed analysis. However, as other readers pointed out, some terminologies are not conventional and his expressions for zeros and poles are sometimes confusing. It takes time to get used to it. Also his conclusions are some times not as concise. What happens fairly often is that he would repeat what has been said earlier with little changed. Sometimes it's hard to get the point. I would give it a solid 3 star. 3.5 star would be a more fair rating.

It does covered the contented I was looking for for ...
It does covered the contented I was looking for for LDO design. However, it also contains a lots of basic Analog IC Design stuff which can be found in most analog IC design books. To me, this part is a little redundant since I am looking for LDO design information.

Excellent book
An excellent resource for basic analog circuit design, and LDO voltage regulators.

excellent for an experienced designer
if you're an undergraduate or just starting IC design, this book is probably not for you.but if you're already past the introductory course or an experienced designer you will find it very useful.the book annotations and analytical derivations don't always follow the standard textbook forms, hence the 4 stars, but the intuitive explanations will give you a fresh insight into familiar building blocks and circuits.if this doesn't convince you, go and have a look at the author's biography.
