Nice addition to my kitchen!
I had a very good experience when purchasing this unit. I was delayed, but the customer service was amazing. Kept me in the loop the entire time. The unit itself works great. Note that it can get a little loud. But it’s also very powerful. Clears the cooking odor quickly. It’s very easy to clean! Overall I think this is a great unit for the money.

Smokin'... Not!
Bought this because it fit perfectly in my hood, which was 39 x 21. Others would have been too big or too small. Seems like all the manufactures, make them in 18in or 22in. Install was easy, as I had a handyman install it :-). Anyway, I was impressed with it when it came. Very nice. Solidly built. Shipped quickly and undamaged, well packaged. Box is very large. Reasonably priced. This comes with lights, which are adjustable, projects nice amount of light, Have had it about a month. Dual blowers, 4 speeds, even a timer to turn the blower off. Effectively removes smoke. Note, the only issue I have is speed 3 and 4 are loud, but I expected them to be.

Great but just went kaput after 2 months of use!
I have had this range hood installed and operable since August. It is gorgeous, is extremely powerful, and has worked very well. A few days ago, a few of the buttons became depressed after normal use and began to work only intermittently when pressed (I have not been able to get level 2 on my fan working since). Today, while the fan was in operation, it stopped working completely and then all of the buttons became depressed as I pressed them to turn the fan back on. The unit was not operable for several hours. I then tried to restart it and it made a very loud clunking and growling sound and I could only get the fan operable at Level 4 (but don't plan to try that again because the noises were pretty frightening coming from an electronic device!) The lights are also not working. I have contacted Amazon to determine what can be done about repair and re-installation and will update my review accordingly.

All good in the hood!
I purchased this product feeling I was taking a bit of a gamble since comparable performance in better known brands is about twice the price. When the unit arrived I quickly unpacked it and plugged it in to see how it worked since I didn't have a good idea of what Sones and CFM actually sounded and felt like. I can tell you that 1200CFM is a lot of air movement, it cooled my whole house down after running for a couple of minutes. The sound you hear is air too and not motor sound so the way I see that it is as quiet as can be. The only thing that could make it quieter might be engineering the airflow differently. Unfortunately on the lowest speed settings I could here the fan rubbing against something internally. I called the company and they noted the condition but asked me to poke around and see if there was something that was dented or came loose during shipping. I said that there were some dents and a loose screw rattling around in the enclosure. Most of the construction is riveted so not a lot can be taken apart and put back together. I think each fan comes out as a unit but cannot be disassembled itself most likely (I didn't want to try and end up damaging anything myself). They sent a fedex pickup to get the defective unit and shipped out a new one. The new one has no rattle and works fine after a quick test. the outside of the housing is still dented a bit in the same location but it is in an area that will be enclosed and not seen. I think this is a design/tolerance issue with the manufacturer. I was a little perturbed that I was asked to actually see if I could "fix" a defective product and wasn't offered a discount or anything, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The unit seems like it is built cheap, but also strong. The lady on the phone said that in all her years at the company they had only had one warrantied motor replacement and that it was probably the owners fault due to inadequate lightning protection or something. The part of the unit that will be seen is very nice. The lights are very bright as well. I'm not sure how easy they will be to replace though. I kinda wish there were different light settings since they are so bright. I am slightly concerned with the amount of electronics inside the unit. It's just more stuff that can potentially break, but only time will tell. The time delay feature seems like it could be nice since we often like to leave the range on immediately after cooking, but don't need it on during the entire meal. Hope my review was helpful. I thought I would be as thorough as possible since there are no reviews on this product. All in all, buy it!

Nice product, few areas of improvement
The hood was packaged very well and included everything you need. It's very powerful and is simple to plug into an outlet. However... the brackets they provide are very complicated to understand how to install. They should make it easier and just have screws from the bottom lip, straight up into the unit you're installing it into. I just screwed in at random places throughout the unit and it was much easier. Also, the flex duct... when you connect the flex duct to the output of the hood, the flapper doesn't open because the crinkles in the flex duct push against the flappers to prevent back drafting. Either make a 3" extension to account for the flappers or cut the flappers down a little so they don't rub against the flex once they open. I wasn't getting ANY pressure out of the unit upon first install and thats why. I had to completely remove the flapper for this to work.

Kind of stuck with it
We bought this four years ago. I'm not reviewing after 10 days. The reality needs to set in. It looks nice but the fan is loud. I usually cook breakfast on Saturday mornings and with the kids watching shows they have to increase the volume to hear the TV with the fan set to low. Sounds kind of like a jet taking off. In regards to sucking up the smell of bacon grease I'm not sure it does a great job. I didn't grow up with a vent hood so when we cooked bacon as a kid we just opened windows. It does collect quite a bit of bacon grease and the inserts are easily removable and washable. We just ordered our second button panel as the first one melted and the second one just started malfunctioning. But I don't want to replace the entire vent a hood it at this point. $40 for a button panel every couple of years I guess isn't that bad. Good luck

Great insert.
I've had mine installed for 6 months. Very nice for the price. Great looking and decently user friendly. I love that you can pull out and wash the inserts in the dishwasher. I had issues with the cheap LED's they provided flickering and not staying on. AFter purchasing new bulbs, it works wonderfully.

That fan itself is great but after 2 years the wiring for the LEDs cracked. Only way you can get them is to order from the manufacturer they do not ship to Canada.
