Rather than spending $35 from a “specialty” store, just get this and get to work. Great price for an essential tool. Works great on thin and thick capes.

Get a grip! Great for leather soles
I used this to rough up a pair of pointe shoe soles for slippery Marley flooring. It’s super easy and quick. I can’t speak to the longevity of the tool but it feels and looks extremely well made. Get this instead of the ones advertised for dance shoes!

Well worth getting
It was a little smaller than I expected but I’m very pleased with it. Recently used it to rough up saddle skirts that I was replacing the saddle shearling on. So much faster on big jobs.
