Robust construction
Used these for tensioning cables under the rafters of a garage when I lived in upstate NY.Due to snow load in winter there is real danger of a roof collapsing unless it is shovelled, esp if the pitch is not that sharp. So the cables secured to eyebolts in the walls below the rafters serve to keep the walls drawn in and also the rafters under less stress.

Used these to anchor my tiny house to the ground. Seems very heavy duty.

So much easier to tighten a cable using this product
We bought this to make a zipline in the backyard for a birthday party. We saw online how to build your own zipline and they didn't use this product but we decided to give it a try and we were so glad that we did because it made tightening up the slack in the line so much easier. It would've taken use forever trying to pull out the slack to tighten the zipline, but with this product you can simply turn the two ends and it really took out the last little bit of slack easily. We did use 2 people (one holding it straight and the other twisting to tighten) though could probably have done it with one, but it was really easy using 2 people. It was rated to 3500lbs which is WAY higher than some of our other pieces along the zipline so it was definitively not the weakest link. It held strong when people zipped down and was a huge hit at the birthday party. Highly recommend if looking to DIY a zipline and want to make your life a little easier to torque it down.

Used to Plumb Har Posts
I use these turnbuckles to plumb, and re-plumb, the har posts on 14 foot remoted vehicular gates. The har (hinged end) of these gates must swing the gates into the electrified latch "striker" within plus or minus 1/8" in elevation, 14 feet away from the hinge, and these turnbuckles work flawlessly to provide that accuracy. They are shipped in the "closed" position, and I use axle grease applied to the threads, Prior to cranking out to the extended position for installation. I use 1/2" Forged eye bolts and 1/4" steel cable thimbled and crimped at the sites. So occasionally, I have to go around and "Tune" the gates to maintain the latch alignment, and these turnbuckles make that a simple task. Highly recommended .. 5 Stars.

Well made and sturdy
This turnbuckle was industry standard, and heavily galvanized. Very nice for the price!

These things are awesome.
I did read one of the reviews which read that "these things are huge", but these things are huge!!!When you read 12" as the size, you don't quite understand how big that is until you see it. I needed two of these for a dining room table simply for looks. These things are solid and big. Just for size reference, the table here is a little over 95" long.

Works great
I bought this to adjust tension on my zipline (120', 1/4" cable). It's strong, all the parts fit together properly, it turns when I want it to and stays put when it's supposed to. I don't know what else I could ask for.
