Can I ask someone on here who posted a photo of the product on top of a terrarium for a crestie, how did you get the wire inside your terra?

The wire for the sensor is very thin, so I just passed it through the tiny gap where the sliding door closes. Approx three years and still original battery.

Your devices do not come with battery tabs. How do i know how long they have been on for, weeks or months?

! bought these over 3 years ago ..... and never had to replace the batteries. They are very accurate although I do use laser thermometer to check different areas in the vivariums.

Will this be alright for a 15 watt heat mat?

It should measure your heat coming from the mat, don't see why it wouldn't.
