Opening Bottles Like a Pro
There's something satisfying about effortlessly opening a bottle of wine, and with this nifty little tool, I've been doing just that. Gone are the days of struggling with unwieldy corkscrews and broken cork mishaps. This waiter's corkscrew has been a game-changer in my wine experience.Crafted with durability in mind, it feels robust yet elegantly designed, fitting comfortably in my hand. Its stainless steel construction gives it a sleek look, which is always a conversation starter at dinner parties. The double-hinged lever is a standout feature, providing extra leverage that makes pulling even the most stubborn corks a breeze. I've noticed it works equally well on synthetic and natural corks, a versatility I didn't expect but greatly appreciate. The built-in foil cutter is another highlight, neatly and efficiently removing foil without any extra tools needed. It’s small things like this that make a big difference, especially when I'm trying to impress guests. Additionally, the non-stick screw glides smoothly into the cork, ensuring no crumbling or breaking. As someone who enjoys a glass of wine regularly, this corkscrew has become an indispensable part of my evening routine. It's robust, functional, and stylish - a rare combination. It's also compact enough to take on picnics or trips, making it perfect for wine lovers on the go.This corkscrew isn't just a tool; it's a testament to how the right product can elevate everyday experiences. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just enjoy the occasional glass, it offers a blend of functionality and elegance that's hard to beat. It’s turned opening a bottle of wine from a task into an experience, something I look forward to every time.

Excellent product, durable and does the job easily without destroying the cork.
Excellent product!A heavy duty quality material, the size is big enought to reach the cork and remove it easily without destroying it.The removable foil also works great. In short, great quality and durable material, does it the job easily with no stress, preserving the cork in perfect condition to be reusable. You can by with no worries!

Works well, there is a learning curve
Works well. It does not shred corks the way some other users say. The key is to insert the spiral as straight as you can and turn it all the way into the cork until only about half a spiral is still above the cork (give or take). There is a learning curve in that regard and the whole process improves partly by trial & error. Note my version has a full stainless steel worm/spiral without the black coating shown in the photos. But it works totally fine, not sure if that makes a difference at all.

I can say this is an awesome product. It is of excellent quality
People seem to obsess over their corkscrews. Does OXO have any cache with the wine crowd? Probably not. However, I can say this is an awesome product. It is of excellent quality, very sturdy and simple to use...assuming you know how to use waiter's corkscrews. (It is not rocket science, but if you have never used one before, you should watch a you tube video.) The foil cutter looks short, which some have complained about. However, it actually is a breeze to use. The cork lifts straight out with no issues. The lever sits nicely on the bottle lid and there is no gouging when you pull the cork out. If you want a quality tool that will last and do the job, BUY THIS. If you want a "fancy" looking one as a gift or to "show off" (i.e. you are serving high end wines where customers notice such things) look elsewhere.

The perfect, easy to use corkscrew!
I am a wine drinker, and have many different corkscrews. This was works perfectly, is so easy to use, and thus far, seems sturdy. I don't normally use the cork to recap the wine bottle, so making a hole in the cork isn't an issue for me. Hoping this lasts a long time, but would definitely buy it again!Overall, I can almost always count of OXO products to be excellent!

Great hinged waiter's corkscrew
As someone who drinks wine very regularly, I've tried many different types and versions of corkscrews. While the rabbit and wing styles are easy, they are, in my opinion, way too bulky to store and carry to be worth buying. When I finally wore down my favorite, just a simple hinged waiter's corkscrew, I decided to get this OXO version. We like OXO here in my house and own plenty of their gadgets. This functions very well as a hinged waiter's style corkscrew, but without some of the moving pieces that broke down on the last one that I loved. The "hinge" is more of a pop-out feature inside (rather than outside) the handle, making it a little less likely to get banged around in a drawer, cooler, etc. The handle has that good OXO texture, making it easy to grip and use.The corkscrew itself is nice and sharp, easily starting the entry into the cork. The foil knife is my only complaint - while it is very visually appealing, it's a little too curved for my taste and I find it awkward to flip out and use as easily as a straight blade. It's very sturdy, and I am sure I'll get many good years of service out of this compact little tool.

Design flaw- shreds cork into wine bottle
like OXO products. This corkscrew works well – and I've opened many bottles of wine – but it has a major design flaw. The first hinge of this two-hinge wine bottle opener snags on the cork as you pull up, b/c the hinge overlaps the lip of the bottle, and ends up shredding the top half of the cork. Every time. It opens bottles with remarkable ease, the worm is nicely designed, but OXO blew it on the hinge design. Yeah, you can finesse it to get it to not shred the cork, but it's an extra action you shouldn't have to take. I sent it back.
