I have the sae1000d and two 100.2 amps. All three broke within three years. I tried to get some help from Jacob on the SSA forums and instead I got insulted and told it was all my fault. In the end I got zero support from Jacob and Sundown audio. I'm out close to a grand with nothing to show for it. I ended up having the amps looked at and the tech who opened the amps up said there were multiple solder failures on all of the amps and that some of the fets were only held in place by screws. If you removed the screws the fets fall out because the soldering joints are bad. I could write a few pages in order to cover the details of how I was treated by Jacob and his company. It's just not worth the time with all the Sundown fankids out there who defend this idiot. All I can say is that in 46 years of living on earth I have never been treated so poorly by any company I've ever dealt with. Review: Sundown Audio 2 Channel Amp - After ordering my Sundown Audio SAX-125.2 amplifier, I received a call from customer service. They told me the shipping date was actually bumped up and I would be receiving my package earlier than expected! This was a nice surprise and great way to begin a relationship with the company. I researched many 2 channel and 4 channel amps online and was in the market for a solid amp for my mids & highs in my 2002 Chevy Camaro. With a solid set of Digital Designs components in the front stage and a set of JL Audio C2 Evolution coaxials for rear fill, I previously used a Kicker ZX350.2 amp for the front and ran the rear fill off my Kenwood KDC-X794 head unit. After about 3 months my Kicker amp fried so I wanted a reliable sturdy amp that would last and was less concerned with price, more concerned with quality. The features of the SAX-125.2 consist of: 2/1 Channel Bridgeable Class-AB Amplifier MOSFET PWM Power Supply Stable Into 4 Ohms Bridged or 2 Ohms Stereo Load 12dB Octave Electronic Crossover Slope Variable Subsonic Filter High Pass Filter Variable with x 10 Range Selectable Switch Low Pass Filter Variable with x 10 Range Selectable Switch HPF/FULL/LPF Selectable Switch Variable Bass Boost Control Variable Bass-Boost Frequency Control Variable Input Level Control Input Sensitivity : 200mV ~ 6V Subsonic Filter : 10Hz ~ 500Hz Signal Input and Line Out RCA Connectors Multi-Way Protection circuitry (Thermal/Over Current/Speaker Short/Speaker DC protection) Tested Voltage & THD: 14.4V & Less than 0.05% THD Operating Voltage : DC10V~16V Power Input Wired Remote Controller MSRP $349 USD Here are the specs: Rated power output ----RMS power, 4 ohm stereo 125W x 2CH ----RMS power, 2 ohm stereo 200W x 2CH ----RMS power, 4 ohm bridged 400W x 1CH Signal to Noise Ratio >90dB Low pass frequency crossover 50Hz ~ 5KHz High Pass Crossover 30Hz ~ 3KHz Variable Subsonic Filter 10Hz to 500Hz Bass Boost 0~18dB Variable Bass-Boost Frequency Control 35Hz to 120Hz Frequency Response 10Hz ~ 40KHz (+/-1dB) THD@RMS Watts <0.1% Channel Separation 75dB Fuse Rating 20A x 3 Input Sensitivity Variable 200mV~6V (+/- 5%) Dimensions 252(W) x 58(H) x 340(L)mm I have had the SAX-125.2 installed in my car for a little over a month now and am very pleased with its performance! The other cool feature of this amp is, you can bridge it to push over 400 watts to 1 channel for a sub-woofer! I've got it in 2 channel stereo mode and it exceeds 125 Watts per channel no problem. If you are in the market for a solid amplifier for either a set of components, mids & highs or a single sub, the Sundown Audio SAX-125.2 is a GREAT choice!!!
