Worth the Price
I understand this body soap is on the pricier side, but one bar lasts a long time—up to a month! Both my father and husband absolutely love it. My dad has oily skin, and my husband works in maintenance, and they both feel it exfoliates and cleans exceptionally well. Plus, it has a soothing, spa-like scent that’s a bonus! My dad calls me when he is running low on inventory....lol

Great Smell for Him or Her
THIS... is Baxter's Cedarwood and Oak Moss Essence bar of soap (2 pack) and I have fallen in love with it. I don't usually use bar soap, but was recently convinced to try it out and I am glad I did! This bar of soap smells amazing, and while I would say it is generally a male-leaning scent... my fiance uses it before her bodywash because it smells so good, and the cleaning beads work really well. It suds up quite well, but not too much. I find that this bar of soap does congeal up slightly between uses like other high-end bars of soap from water being left on it, so I recommend putting it in a container between washes to keep it from washing away.I thought that this was expensive for a bar of soap, however, it is well worth the extra money and I can tell a difference from my old dove and irish spring bars of soap that I kept around. I really feel that the beads and soap clean and scrub well! Will be returning to buy more for me and my fiance now and am hooked on Baxter soap!

Good, not great
Overall: pleasant scent that leans masculine (I grew tired of it, personally), good exfoliation, lasts longer than you’d expect, but unspectacular ingredients.Compared to Dr. Squatch: on a per ounce basis, Dr. Squatch soap bars are cheaper, especially when you buy in larger bundles. Dr. Squatch also has a far superior ingredient profile (just a few natural ingredients that you can actually pronounce). On a per use basis, Baxter California wins handily. Ounce for ounce, it just lasts longer. I think that’s enough to erase the cost per ounce advantage Dr. Squatch has.Overall pick: Dr. Squatch. More scent options, vastly superior ingredients, and with large bundles (and sales), you can get a good deal. That doesn’t make Baxter California a bad pick. I just think that when you put some thought into it, it isn’t the best choice for performance or cost.

"Grown-Up Soap That Actually Does Something"
This is not your average grocery-store bar of soap. The Baxter Exfoliating Body Bar strikes the perfect balance between grit and glide. You get a refreshing scrub without feeling like you’re wrestling a handful of sandpaper. The scent is clean and sophisticated—like you just stepped out of a barbershop that only accepts appointments from 007. Lathers well, rinses clean, and leaves you feeling brand new. Honestly, it’s one of those rare grooming products that makes you look forward to a shower. No complaints, and I’ll keep ordering until they stop making it (which I hope they never do).
