Finally, a barefoot for everyday!
I'm not one to write reviews, mainly because I believe that personal opinion is just that: personal. But as both a fan and an advocate of the barefoot movement, I feel it's important to let my fellow barefooters know when a product is worth a look.Prior to this purchase, I owned four pair of Vibram FiveFingers Vibram Fivefingers Bikila LS Sport Shoes, two pair of Fila Skeletoes Fila Women's Skele-Toes 2.0 Slip-On Fashion Sneaker], and one pair of Teva Zilch [[ASIN:B00566SN84 Teva Women's Zilch Flexible Sandal. I bought the Wonder Glove in both black and aluminum, which is a nice neutral light khaki. As a woman in a corporate environment, these are now my go-to barefoots. It's a challenge to make any kind of a barefoot shoe work with business casual attire, but these fit the bill. Even without the added benefit of being a barefoot shoe, they're just plain cute. The mesh fabric on the sides of the shoes wipes clean, even from mud, and the leather toe and heel have resisted scuffing despite wear virtually every day.As for the barefoot experience, these are a zero drop shoe with a thin Vibram sole. Because of that, they provide great ground feel, but I'm not sure I'd wear them for a hike in the woods. But that's not the point of these shoes - they're intended for those of us who want to embrace the barefoot movement every day in all settings.Note: If you're new to the barefoot movement, you need to adapt slowly, as the muscles in your feet will make you sorry if you don't. Please do some research and follow the tips for easing your way into barefoot shoes a little at a time. As someone who's suffered with foot problems for years, I can tell you that the benefits of a shift to a barefoot lifestyle can be remarkable. The bottom line is that while it's definitely a pricey shoe, you get what you pay for. And the Wonder Glove is worth every penny.

I have arches again!
I took a risk on these, buying them right before a month-long trip to Europe, my first "barefoot" shoes, too. I was pleasantly surprised - they were comfortable, great traction on wet cobblestones, and there was really something neat about feeling every bump and rock (tip for medium-sized walks - use your front foot pad; the heel can *hurt*). They were comfortable enough for hiking and non-descript enough to wear to nice restaurants without getting dirty looks. In fact, I've worn these pretty much every day for the last 9 months. Not sure if it's a coincidence, but my plantar fasciitis has gone away and I actually have arches again. Was even recently able to fit into some shoes I had that were previously too narrow. After such a great experience with these, I purchased some VivoBarefoot boots - I have to say, I prefer the sole in these to the VivoBarefoots, I feel like I *feel* more. Conversely, I bought a pair of flip-flops from Merrill with the Vibram soles, and they are stiffer than both soles on these and the Vivos--they don't feel like true barefoot shoes at all!In cons, don't get these wet--the microbial properties wear off and they can get smelly. Hand-washing and drying in the sun, then rubbing coconut oil on the insides and leather on the outside seemed to do the trick for me to de-bacteriafy them. Also, the shoes do seem kind of sloppily put-together. There was glue on the edges when I purchased them, and the glue that was previously just sloppy-looking now has now worn off in places, leaving holes. I've ordered a pair that are similar to these, but am resorting to Gorilla Gluing these as they are just so comfortable...I guess you can't expect modern shoes to last very long anymore, but it's a real bummer that I have to throw these away after 9 months - and worse that Merrill has discontinued this style, I could wear these things forever.

Beautiful Shoes, but rubbed my foot the wrong way
I purchased these shoes off of Amazon. They were beautiful. Cute, trendy, and wide enough to fit my boxier foot (my feet are 4 inches at the widest point. I was excited. I tried them on and they felt SOOO comfortable. They didn't even irritate my bunion. Then I began to walk around the house... I noticed that even in the two minutes I wore them they began to rub my right foot (the foot withOUT the bunion)--go figure. They felt great on my foot that had the bunion. Sure be nice to the weird foot but not the more normal one. I took them off and inspected them closely. The pretty slanted design in the leather across the toe hit my little toe on my right foot just the wrong way so that they rubbed. I guess the bunion on my left foot pulled them to just the correct angle where the material didn't rub that foot. I was impressed with the quality and the make of the shoe. I liked the strap across the foot. It was easy to attach and detach, but it stayed nicely in place when attached. Sigh. I am sending them back to try again. Perhaps I will have better success with the Merrell Glimmer Glove. No fancy designs up front to mess with my toes.

Great casual dress shoe
I usually wear a 6 or 6.5, and I'd prefer a wide, so maybe it is totally unfair to criticize the size. However, I've got to warn the wider fitted among us that the design on the top of the shoe means you have some breakin time to get comfort..... Breakin time, a few session with a broom handle or a 'real' shoe stretcher, and maybe wear socks in them around the house for a few days. Here's the thing: now they fit great, and I really would not want them to be looser. The material is a dream. Soils wipe off with a damp cloth.I wear them with skirts and pants and even gave them the one mile test on the treadmill at the gym.

So comfortable.
I bought these for my 89-year-old grandmother who has a hard time standing for too long. She told me these were so comfortable and easy to slip on. She also loves how "pretty" they are and that she can wear them with her nicer outfits. (I gave them four out of five because when I tried them on--and I wear the same size as her, but I have a longer-than-first-toe second toe--they did not fit me because the toe box does not accommodate for the longer second toe as it slants down away from the big toe. Otherwise they were a good fit, I would just have to get an 8 vs. a 7.5. --Dr.Dave's wife

Best shoes I have ever worn
I have never written a review before. These shoes are the most comfortable that I have ever in my life worn. I have never had a problem with shoes but honestly, these are like slippers but that you can go out in. I thought these would be like other ballet pumps where my feet get real hot but they are not. They definitely breathe. Really feels as though you are walking barefoot but without any of the discomfort of walking barefoot if you know what I mean. Quality seems good. Only had the. 2 weeks so I cannot comment on durability. I am walking them hard though and they seem to be bearing up. I bought the size up to normal following reviews, so normally I would be a 6, I bought a 7 - good advice!

Merrell Wonderglove shoes.
I am extremely pleased with this purchase.I have Merrell Chukka boots and a pair of their light trainers and have been pleased with both during my regular long hill walks.Normally a size 5.5UK, I chose size 6 for the walking shoes - perfect with socks - but risked size 5 for the ballet flats, wanting to wear them with bare feet. They fit extremely well and are amazingly comfortable.I would strongly recommend Merrell footwear to anyone who, like me, has a dislike of thick, heavy soles. Comfort and quality.

Practical, pretty and comfortable
If you're looking for a durable, attractive, comfortable casual ballet flat this is a great shoe. Not smart enough to wear with more formal clothes but great with leggings and don't fall off or make your feet hurt ,like regular ballets. not cheap but I love walking and hate aching feet. Not sure about the whole barefoot running concept. Biomechanically we are not actually designed to run on our toes as all the blurb says- just leads to knee problems but I didn't buy this shoe for that.

New experience in shoes.
I have not had any shoes like this before and I love them! They are comfortable and look nice. I am building up how much I wear them as recommended. They are incredibly light and have a good grip. They are supposed to have hard wearing soles but I have not worn them enough yet to comment on this. They were well packaged and arrived very quickly.I do buy a size larger in Merrell shoes but find that once I know my Merrell size it is true across the range.

love the shoes but
would give 5 stars but they hurt my second to last toe. Its like the shoe rubs only that toe which is a problem i have never encountered before. And saying that, I do have bunions and they were soooo comfortable for my bunions , which is a mean feat. I had to send back,, sadly. I normally wear a 6 and think I need a 7 for the toe rubbing issue. Unfortunately, its been 4 months now and I cannot find any site that has a size 7 in stock, not even merrell uk site.... :( Ive had to resort to crocs.

A bit on the large side
These shoes come up slightly large. However, I have put insoles in and they are now perfect. They are extremely comfortable lightweight and stylish. I shall definitely be buying more Merrill shoes in the future.

Truly comfortable
An incredibly comfortable shoe - I love the barefoot glove but couldn't get away with wearing something that looked like a traner for work. This is smart enough for work and feels like you're wearing trainers.

mein neuer wegbegleiter

Einfach Perfekt
I have definitely to talk about these ballerinas, I am sure that there are lot of people as me who have problems finding the right shoe which you can just wear them and forget about them, without pressure and pain here and there. This is the kind of shoe to say Ahhh when you put your feet in, very light, very soft and flexible, the toes have lot of space and the feet are breathing; it gives the feeling like walking on grass. This weekend I was in Regensburg and had a tour in the city on feet, walking around almost 5 hours, on different grounds, the tiled pedestrian, stones, asphalt... they are simply perfect. Conclusion: I do not expect less from Merrell.. so for people wanting to have the bare foot experience I totally recommend this ballerina.
