Very effective Mosquito prevention
Thermacels are worth every penny. They keep mosquitos at bay and work very well. I have used them for years and would not go on a hunting trip without one.

Unsure of use--CANNOT travel on a plane
Honestly have no idea if it works yet or not. I bought it to take to our condo in St Thomas last year then the trip was canceled. Am getting ready to go and fly and it turns out you cannot fly with the fuel cartridge--in checked OR carryon baggage, so I will leave it have home and use here. Just thought I'd put out there in case anyone finds themselves needing to purchase and bring with them on a plane. I would also suggest the company update the details to reflect that it cannot travel via plane.

Clipping the portable Theracell to a backpack
I think the product works well - I need more trips to determine that. But I'd like a way to clip it to a backpack strap and a carabiner won't work as far as I can tell. Is there a certain kind of clip and will fit into the back?

Great product for camping
Thermacell products are always really good. This is no exception and keeps the bugs at bay. This product uses a fuel cell and pad, so beware you need both as future replacements.

Defective ? Or Dumb ?
Sooo this didn’t work for me. I have a larger thermacell and I love it ! I bought this smaller one thinking it’s easier to carry around in my purse as opposed to the large round one. This one says you just lay it flat, click over the start switch then wait a bit.Wellll I waited and clicked the start button, similarly when I’m starting my propane fire pit. Nothing happened. An orange light is supposed to turn on but that didn’t happen either.I looked at the instructions and saw where there’s a battery door. There’s not an actual door so if you unscrew the whole thing, one might think you would find a place for batteries however there is not. From my understanding of what’s in the manual it’s one of the disc type batteries, but no idea where I would put it. My larger one is rechargeable so that’s great. This one doesn’t work for me. So either I got a defective one or I’m too dumb to figure out where the battery goes. Someone else posted a video and that seems to be on track with my issue.Amazon just gave me a refund because I wasn’t allowed to return it due to it being a health product. I would’ve loved to have something small and portable. My mother has a different model that is rechargeable and a small as a pocket flashlight, but I have yet to find that anywhere.

Great product
These little things work great. My suggestion would be to YouTube a couple hacks to save money on refills and pads. No doubt, definitely worth it if you live somewhere mosquitoes are a problem
