Don't believe the Ford Service Department people. They're out to rob you!!
This part is an exact fit! Here's my story:I had my wife take our 2018 Ford Explorer to the Dealer to have the brakes replaced. I also asked for an oil change. 3 weeks later the car wouldn't start. I opened the hood to find the negative terminal was as the photos shown. It is obvious this condition didn't happen in 3 weeks time. The receipt noted the battery checked out fine and nothing was wrong. Imagine that!I checked the oil dip stick and the oil on the dip stick was very dark and smelled burnt. Which to me indicated it wasn't changed and it was noted on the work order it was done!Long story short,I immediately drove to the Service Department on Saturday in my other car as they were open until 4:30. Got there and the Service guy told me the battery was not covered under warranty. He walked me to the parts department asking with my battery which I couldn't get the negative terminal off as it was rusted on. I told him I needed a new battery and the negative cable terminal. He went to the back and came back with the battery and I asked him about the terminal. He told me that don't sell it separately and I had to replace the entire wire harness at $1,300. I couldn't believe him and asked him if he was serious and he said yes I'm serious. He said you can try the local automotive parts stores and they may have one. I went to one and I bought one that I thought would work and it didn't. So, I went online and Googled my vehicle and found this one on Amazon!I was lucky because this part does not come with the cable nut and happened to take the one off the old battery before I left the Dealer!HAPPY ENDING!

Wedge lock part fits 2017 Chevy Colorado too!
I could not find a replacement wedge lock for the negative terminal clamp on my 2017 Colorado V6 (gas). GM didn't have a part # for it, rather it was included with negative cable harness replacement for nearly $200. I was not spending that much on such a fix, and wanted avoid cutting and re-soldering to a new clamp if possible, so I got this. The two wedges and the metal bar that passed through clamp comes off, and slide perfectly into the clamp on my Colorado. Still a pricey fix, but it was very easy. Clamp is nice and snug again.

Worked great on my Ford Flex
It took me 2 trips to 2 different auto parts stores to realize that the "standard" replacement battery terminal clamps do not fit my vehicle. This one is a perfect replacement for the OEM clamp and takes just a couple of minutes to replace.NOTE: If you loosen the old clamp and find that it can't be removed, just leave it on the old battery and put on a new one. It isn't worth the effort and either will damage the clamp or the terminal itself. For me, the terminal pulled away from the battery itself, allowing the internal fluid to possibly leak out while removing the battery from the vehicle.

Well built... but!
The unit is extremely well built, however, when I went to install it, my cable had "crimped" connectors, not "eyelets". I ended up taking the new unit apart and using it's parts to repair my clamp! In the end, it all worked out!!!

Perfect for my Mustang
The positive terminal was stuck on my old battery. There had been a lot of corrosion. I took it to one shop and they couldn’t remove it, it was spinning around but wouldn’t loosen. They tried to put a different terminal on but my car wouldn’t power on at all with that one and they didn’t carry this terminal in their shop.I ordered this piece and took the car to a new shop. I explained the situation and they still tried to remove the old terminal. The old terminal broke on the old battery. Put the new one on and it worked perfectly!

Very Good
I've seen this type of Battery Clamp being used on different Ford and Nissan vehicles. But I used it to replace an old clamp on a different kind of application and it worked great for me. Well built and good quality.Recommendation: don't forget to apply some Dielectric Grease or other anti-corrosion product on the interior of the clap before installation and on the outside after installation, to ensure a long life and to protect against hidden and visible corrosion. Hidden buildup corrosion on the inside (where you cannot see it) was what ate into and weakened my original battery clamp.
