Great "how to" website resource I still reference (1-2 years later)!
This review is long overdue, as I've had this book a year or two and I still reference it on a regular basis and consistently recommend it to others. This book was a lifesaver when I was building my first WordPress site. Depending on your experience and skill level, some of the info in the beginning may seem a bit basic but it progresses and covers many "how to" things in both business perspectives and technical set ups.Nick approaches each topic in a very clear, step by step process, so the reason "why" makes sense and the 'how to" is easy to follow. There are so many nuggets in this book and I still reference it especially for the straight forward technical "how to's" when I'm building a new site. A couple sections that I found very helpful when I was building my first site include how to add a favicon to you site and how to set up email@your domain and then how to forward those emails to my personal gmail account. Those are simple things if you've been around this block once or twice, but during my first time building a WP site, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to do those things. Even after googling those topics and wasting time reading several different articles and threads, I was no closer to getting those set up and functioning properly. Once I got Nick's book and was able to follow his simple, straight-forward, step by step instructions, I had my stuff set up and looking pro! Thanks Nick! I wish I would've had your book to begin with as it would've (and has since) saved me a lot of time and frustration.
