Vibrant Performance Vibrant 1140 2.25" Ultra Quiet Resonator

I had a custom exhaust that was too loud and also had a small amount of drone. I had the shop install one of these and it made a huge difference. Zero drone, and it took all of the harshness out of the tone and quietened the system, but still allows for on throttle deep quality sounding tone. This resonator is straight thru design, and is a quality unit.

I've used these mufflers on my truck and this last purchase was for my VW based kit car with a Subaru swap. They are free flowing and small, but really cut down the undesirable sounds and make the exhaust sound great, both on this car and on my truck! Best muffler i've ever bought (and i've bought a bunch)! They are made from 304 stainless so they look great. The one on my truck has been installed for almost 2 years and still looks great even after 2 PA winters. Also, i haven't noticed any degredation in the performance of the muffler after 2 years. (Sometimes cheaper glasspacks will blow out the packing and thus not muffle as well as when they were new, so far i have not observed this on either vehicle). Very happy with my purchase and i highly recommend to anyone.

Bought this for a 1988 Porsche 944 with an aftermarket straight through exhaust (high flow cat, Magnaflow muffler) installed by the previous owner. The aftermarket exhaust sounded "okay" but had a deafening drone from 2k-4k. Bad enough my ears would be left ringing after 45mins or so of "spirited" driving. The 944 was never a quiet car - even with the factory exhaust, it's not a car you'd have a meaningful conversation in while driving. So, while this didn't get rid of ALL the drone and noise, it did bring the noise levels down closer to factory, which is all I wanted.

I purchased two of these to throw on my catback straight-piped Mercedes C-Class. I ordered them Friday morning and they were delivered less than 24hrs later. I'm sure my neighbors were getting tired of my ridiculously aggressive cold starts at 10 pm when I left for work. Before I welded these on, it droned like crazy and vibrated the whole cabin when cruising between 1200-2500 RPMs. The rasp also made things a bit too ricey for me. These resonators eliminated 100% of the rasp and the drone is barely even noticeable. They did quiet the overall sound output quite a bit, but the tone is deep and throaty under hard acceleration. For the money, they're totally worth it. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking to tame an overly obnoxious exhaust.

Awesome product! quality is spot on! I would like to justify the term "ultra quite", which I mean it really depends on how your exhaust system has been set up. If you have aftermarket header, front pipe, down pipe, y pipe, straight pipe, etc. You would like probably want two of these. This resonator does eliminate partial drone inside of cabin but definitely not "ultra quite".

Great sounding resonator! Helps with drone just make sure to have a ideal location as it is oval.
