This hood is amazing! keeps ventilation circulating all the time when im cooking! No more strong odors in my face. The suction power is great and the overall hood quality is great. Not hard to install at all and is not has heavy as you think.

For the price, a very good unit. Poor instructions.
Beautiful unit, reasonably quiet, but a real bear to install. The instructions are not just poor, they are essentially useless. Searched for “how to” videos and didn’t find much helpful. But if you are handy, you can figure it out… it is mainly the chimney covers that are a challenge… it takes some creative thinking. For my purposes it is absolutely fine. It is above my coffee roaster in the garage and adequately vents out the roasting smoke. Would I want it in my kitchen? I would instead go for a larger unit and perhaps a different chimney cover design. But for the price, this is a solid 4-star item.

Working Range Hood
The features of the product are functional and have a nice look and feel to them. It was relatively easy to install into the space I wanted to put it into. Would recommend buying this product if you want an inexpensive range hood.

Very Stylish Hood Range
The review is based on replacing out existing range hood and not new installation. Received my 30' Cosmo Range Hood with the digital display on time. Had someone installed it for me. It took 2 persons and 30 minutes. Installation seemed very easy and straight forward. Only complaint was it didn't come with a duct clamp or foil tape for the duct. Make sure you purchase it before installation to prevent delay. The stainless steel and digital display make it looks sleek and modern. Also with stainless steel, it makes it easy to clean. The fans are strong. LED lights are bright. It adds extra lighting to the kitchen. The buttons are responsive and easy to touch. So far I am happy with the product. Hope the lights and digital will last since it will be exposed to the heat from cooking.

Inexpensive functional hood, would buy again
This hood is stylish and functional and we like the shut-off timer on the fan. It is quiet on the quietest setting and louder on the other 2 settings but never unacceptably loud. We have it ducted to the outside of the home and it is powerful enough on the lowest setting to really move the louvers of the vent. Our contractor installed it and chose to just use a long 6" flex duct (long path to vent) but even with this duct, noise isn't an issue.I wish the LED lights were a warmer white instead of the 5000K they currently are. This review is based on a couple days use after install and will be updated if necessary.Edit: The clock is always 4 digit. It always has a leading zero though it is in 12 hour time format.Edit: The blue protective tape was easy to remove if one peels it lengthwise.

Updated after 2 years 2 months!
Update September 2022:We have now had this hood vent 27 months. We started using the hood LED lights as a night light in the kitchen, and after maybe 6-8 times doing this, the fan wouldn't work. I tried to turn on the LED lights, and they were very dim and a little flickery. Then a week later the front panel went off completely. I contacted Cosmo support and he had me check some things, make sure everything was plugged in etc. Being disabled I had to get help with this. Between the time I talked to support, and when I got someone to come out, the front panel came back on for a day, and then back off. My father in law took the cover off the board, everything was plugged in as it should be. Waiting to hear back from support after sending a pic of the board. I'm not sure what their warranty covers, but I'm worried I'm gonna have to buy a whole new unit.We loved our hood vent, very powerful, and looks great! Then after about a month, we noticed the clock keeps getting waaaay behind! Like by hours. Wouldn't be a big deal, but the stove right below it has a clock, with the correct time. Been asked twice now by guests. UghMore of an annoyance....but after building a new home, it would be nice for everything to work properly, at least for a while? The hood has great suction, looks good, the lights are bright.....it fails in the clock department. Not sure what else to do but cut a piece of electrical tape and cover the clock!

Get one with lights in the rear instead.
Installed in May 2022, reviewing in November. Functionally the fan is still working well. Aesthetically it looks awesome. Fan is adequate strength, we always use high-power though... lower power not of much use really.I chose one with lights in the front thinking it would light the stove up better, but what I didn't think about it is that that also means the fan, which is already less deep than the stove, is set closer to the wall. As a result the fan is much more effective when using the back burners. On the front burner a lot more escapes the fan's pull. The fan being forward another 4-5" would certainly have helped.Install went fairly well. Overall well designed with 2 flaws that are manageable for someone handy enough to be installing their own vent hood. 1) It comes with a cord but no opening in the chimney shroud to put it through. I cut a hole in the bottom back of the shroud... unfortunately I did this before I realized I had electricity in the attic I could hardwire it with instead (thus the hole in the picture with no cord). 2) The design of the upper shroud segment's mounting does not allow it to mount tight to the ceiling. I decided to hold it tight to the ceiling and then drill and screw it to hold. I used a rigid vent (sold separately).
