Newly Diagnosed | CIRS
Thank you. I recently got diagnosed with CIRS; living in a place for 8 yrs that has been making me sick. My entire life changed, and for 8 years, I lived, worked from home, endured COVID, and thought I was in the safest place on Earth; my home. I found this book immediately after I was diagnosed. It has helped me mentally understand the truth gravity of the illness.Due to cognitive fog and comprehension, my evaluation from the myotoxins team was 2.5 hours of overwhelm. This book gave me more peace and allowed the mental fires to be extinguished. Thank you for being in this field and for collaborating to write book. We, the CIRS-25 (that's what I'm calling us today) are not crazy nor making any of our symptoms up. Your book helped me heal from the reality that I've been called crazy for 8 yrs and never agreed with anyone's perceptions of me. I knew something was wrong. This book helps me to communicate the words that now I have a hard time remembering exist.Thank you; immensely.Diana 🖤 🦋 🐇

A must read for those who suffer from mold
The mold problem should be understood by everyone, given the fact that 25% of the population have a genetic predisposition to be severely affected by mold. The book is a bit pricey, but you won't find such a well organized source of information on this problem. When I finally went to an "Integrative Doctor" and began to understand that I was suffering from mold, I also began to self educate. Understanding the information is necessary for the patient to get better, there is no magic pill. If you think mold is causing you health problems, you need to read this book.

Saved my life
This book became my life-line as we navigated what to do when I was diagnosed with CIRS. It helped me to make the right decisions for our family and soberly summarized the reality of my situation. I still reference it today even though I’ve nearly healed. I’m so grateful for this text!

Clear and concise, great place to start learning what to do
This book is well written and gives a clear understanding about what mold illness is and leads you through the steps you need to do to get better. Think of it as a guide book that touches on all the areas you need to be aware of and where to go to get more support if needed.

Was cutting edge...
Some of the advise is outdated. Your mold savvy functional medicine doctor can use more updated testing. I found this book alarming and somewhat discouraging.

Helpful and Informative
Full of practical advice for someone with CIRS. I wish I'd read it sooner (I was diagnosed with CIRS two years ago but I still struggle with reexposures from stores, hotels, etc). I'm hopeful that this book will help me.

I agree with another reviewer
This book does have great info and I agree with some things but you do have to also have a balance because it is true freaking out about mold will make things worse. I kinda take the Info learned from this book and the info I learned from DNRS and combine it. You can’t live in a sterile bubble, it’s unrealistic.
