Game-Changer for Gun Maintenance
This water-based cleaner is a beast at cutting through carbon, lead, and most copper fouling without the harsh chemicals or smells of traditional solvents. The 8oz spray bottle makes application a snap—just spritz it on, wipe, and you’re done. I used it on my 9mm pistol and .223 rifle after a range day, and it melted away grease and carbon buildup with ease, leaving parts clean and oil-free for lubing with something like Lucas Oil 10875. Amazon reviews rave about its odorless, non-toxic formula, with one user noting, “It has zero scent, melts grease, and makes cleaning simple” (web:2). Unlike Hoppe’s No. 9, it doesn’t give you a headache or require an open window, so I can clean indoors without complaints from the family. It’s safe for all finishes—wood, plastic, aluminum, blued steel—and doesn’t leave a greasy residue, which is great for prepping parts for lube.

Amazing
I had been using Hoppe’s 9 like everyone else for a long time. I was running low and decided to try something new. This stuff has zero scent, melts grease and oil, makes everything easy to spray down and wipe. It has made my regular cleaning much more simple. I have not noticed any wear or damage to plastic of metal parts on the exterior.I do still like #9 for soaking and scrubbing heavy carbon deposits (it’s thicker and will keep a patch wet). This stuff doesn’t leave a greasy residue, so it makes me feel like it cleans super well. Easy to spray down brushes to clean your bore. I literally just spray it everywhere inside and outside with zero issues.

No caustic smell, but still works to defoul your pew pew babies
Pros:+ Minimal smell+ Spray bottle helps application+ Works well in cleaningCons:- May take several applicationsTL;DR: If you want low smell pew pew cleaner that works—this stuff is 100% for you.No surprise that this stuff works well—I purchased off of several review sites' positive ratings. True to its marketing, this stuff has very little smell and still works well to defoul your pew pew. The instructions to "soak" it (leaving it on for a few mins before scrubbing) works well on the really dirty parts. I recently serviced a pew pew that hadn't been cleaned in over a decade and this stuff was able to remove the caked on junk from the barrel and other internal parts with only a couple of applications! It also doesn't hurt that the price per oz is very reasonable as well. Be warned that this is ONLY cleaner, not a CLP, so you'll need to lubricate after using this stuff.

Didn't like at first; then I learned you don't let it soak like with traditional solvents.
2nd update 6/12/2020:I find myself upgrading my rating again because I was using it wrong. All the solvents I've used previously work best if you wet the parts you're going to clean and then let them sit for a few minutes for the solvent/cleaner to dissolve the residue you're trying to get rid of. I saw a web post where someone was complaining about this product for the same reasons I did originally, and another poster pointed out you don't let M-Pro soak. You spray it and start cleaning immediately. I tried it, and it works much better that way. I still don't think it works quite as well as other, traditional solvents, but if your firearm's not completely filthy, I think this is a good alternative, especially given the lack of odor. (Then again, I'll try it some more and may decide it does work as well as other solvents.) Raising to 4 stars.Update 3/26/2018:Over the winter, I used this cleaner a few times when it was too cold to comfortably clean weapons in an unheated garage. I still don't feel it cleans as well as other solvents, and I still don't like the sticky residue it leaves on unwiped surfaces, but I will give it props for the lack of smell. I was able to clean weapons in the house without strong odors. (Having said that, I won't clean the same weapon with this more than twice without a stronger/better solvent in between.) Raising to 3 stars.Original review 7/23/2017:I've used Hoppe's #9 since I was a kid. Seems like every couple of years, there's a new miracle cleaner I try, but I always go back to #9. I tried it on a semi-auto rifle and a pistol and wasn't impressed, except for the lack of strong smell.I sprayed the inside of the receiver, waited a few minutes then began wiping. Repeated. I had to finish with #9 to get the crud the M-Pro didn't dissolve. Also, if you don't wipe any overspray, it's slightly sticky if you let it dry.Reviews here and elsewhere state the M-Pro 7 won't dissolve lead and copper very well by itself, so you have to buy the other M-Pro products to clean the bore? I can't comment on that as I used #9 and a boresnake to clean the bores. In summary, I could see the utility of this product if you have to avoid the smell of typical solvents; however, the higher price, lower effectiveness, and need to use additional products on the bore negate the benefits in my opinion. Your results may be different. I really wish I'd saved my $17.

Good cleaner with no smell.
I have been using this product for the last several years, usually in the 4 oz bottle. This cleaner (8oz) works well and does not give me a headache like some other gun cleaners.

Great for getting off the surface crud, will continue to purchase
I have been using this for years. I use this and Ezox. Everyone has their own method and i'm sure for everyone who tells me this is an awesome idea there will be someone to comment that I'm a horrible human being.I'm the person that cleans regardless of 300 rounds or 2 rounds that day. I shoot mostly the cheapest range ammo I can find, so there is no lack of build up. I'm also not someone who wants to spend hours being precise where the cleaning solvents land. I use this on plastic, metal, blue finish, polished fished, ceracoat, and it has gotten on the wood plenty of times. NO ISSUES over the last several years.I run a brush once to loosen up the heavy stuff, then spray down everything, and let it sit for a while. Then a few more passes with brush, run a wipe or 2, quick spray off w/the air compressor, the Ezoxx everything down. The big pros are that this is fairly inexpensive so liberal use is no problem. There is virtually no odor so fine to use in a small room. My barrels and internals are free of build up and knock on wood, the accuracy from these barrels is still far more accurate then I can be. If you like this, great you should be happy. If you have a better method, that is probably great as well.
