ESKS SKS Cleaning Rod 17 inch

Fits perfectly, works well with my onboard cleaning kit.

Got this and it works great, unfortunately I have a paratrooper model and it was too long. Cut it down and rethreaded the end.

The cleaning rod was perfect. Sturdy and completed the gun. Now at least it looks right.

Refurbed my SKS that I've have owned for 30 years. Pitched the Tapco stock and bought a wood one. I wanted to restore the original look so I bought this cleaning rod. Got it and damn..it was about 1/8 to 1/16th to long for the block or holed end to seat properly in the barrel. Cussed a little, got out the grinder and in about 8 seconds it sits perfectly!!

Just awesome. I bought a Norinco SKS that didn't have the cleaning rod. Miffed, I sought one out on e-bay that did not fit my rifle. Next I ordered this one and it fit LIKE A GLOVE. No rattle, but pops right in place between the brackets on the barrel. No interference from the bayonet and does not come loose when bayonet is closed. In good shape, nicely blued. The rod was packaged in a large box and was itself contain in a cardboard "case" so was very well protected. This worked great for me, but keep in mind not all SKS's are the same and this rod might not work well for your rifle. But, if you're experiencing the issue of a too-large of a rod head not fitting in your brackets, this rod didn't have that issue and it's head was smaller than others I've tried. Like I said, it fit great!

Very good product, not rusty or corroded like a lot of Eastern Bloc military surplus sometimes is. It was well packed to prevent damage. Very satisfied.

Like other posters mentioned this one is too long. I happen to have threading dies so I just chased the threads longer and cut off the extra rod. The metal is incredibly soft, it must be almost without carbon. The knurled end snapped off while I was cutting new threads, these are made by adding a sleeve to the end, tack welding it on, then the hole is cross drilled leaving a miniscule web of metal which is very weak. I only wanted it because I have a muzzle brake. Good thing I know how to this sort of work, but I'll be keeping an eye out for a better product. Based on how the end is done this is useless as an actual cleaning rod.

This cleaning rod is exactly as I expected.However, due to the variance in specifications with SKS rifles, I had to file down the non-threaded end of the rod in order for it to properly fit MY rifle. A dab of black spray paint, and no problem! I can't fault the seller for this variance, because out of the millions of SKS rifles produced, there is bound to be some difference in parts and clearances.Overall, I am pleased with the fast shipping and good price!
