Near perfect, VERY happy, please read review!
I bought this along with a cheaper unit (with only one pickup), and ended up installing THIS ONE on my nice acoustic ukulele. The sound is honestly pretty amazing. I put one pickup above the strings, one below, and one close to the bridge (all 3 on the inside of course). Some people recommend a preamp, which i may invest in, but i was getting adequate sound from my friends 2 guitar amps with out one. Installation took a total of under 10 minutes, and right off the bat i was having a blast messing around with my friends effects pedals and playing some nifty tunes. The female plug is quite heavy and requires some sort of attachment/anchor, i used velcro strips that i had laying around. Not the best, but not bad, i will probably change the way the plug is attached to my Ukulele soon.Sure, the wires coming out of the sound hole don't look pretty, but i play music to sound good not to look good.My ONLY concern is that the wires that attach to the pickups are only held in by their soldering, not by any other means. This means that any pulling, twisting or force applied to the wires has the potential for breaking. But for 14$ what more can you expect??? I remedied this by securing the wires to the body of my ukulele, which also prevents unwanted noise from wires rubbing on my clothes. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Sounds great, high output and very cost effective.
Not bad at all. I installed this in an Ibanez AC240opn. That's a mahogany Grand Auditorium size guitar (pretty much an 000). It's a smaller guitar with great sound. The bridge plate on this guitar was a little too small to place all sensors below the pins. I ended up placing one behind pins 3 and 4 and one each "beside" pins 1 and 6.The sound is quite good, when plugged in it has a natural sound that sounds like that guitar. Bass is there, not overbearing, nice mid and bright tops. A turn down of the treble on my amp just a smidge and it sounds great.Output is also quite good. I did not need a preamp on the amp or the PA I plugged directly into. As a matter of fact I needed to turn down the volume on the PA from where I usually play.I will be buying more of these...

Nice for the money-a little bright
Got what I needed to get the job donePlacement is specifically important inside the guitar body..Additional adhesive pads would be extremely helpful..

Super Sound at a Super Price
OMG! This is perfect ! I was hesitant to go drilling a hole in my Ukelele but wanted to have the option of amplification. This fit the bill with easy quick insallation ! No miss no fuss and it produces great ,clear wonderful sounds . I placed the pads in a triangular formation from the bridge down to the sound hole. I did take a tip from someone and got glued the solder joints on the piezos for added protection. 30 minutes total install time and that's cuz I have big club hands lol 😏 . This is a true bargain quality piece comparable to the KK mini but about 80.00 $ cheaper . In fact I used the KK installation video online to do the job . Highly recommended !

Worse than worthless. No going back, even if it doesn't work.
I installed this product in my guitar with no instructions included, but followed video installation guides for K&K Mini pickups, which is a very similar product in design. The piezo pickups have double-sided tape installed already, which aids in installation. It's installed and everything, with the pickups directly below the saddle and the endpin jack installed. However, it doesn't work at all. My amp and computer both show no activity when I strum or pick a string. I guess it serves me right for trying to cheap out and getting a cheap pickup for my cheap guitar. I'd remove it, but it would be difficult to remove and I'd never be able to put my guitar back to the way it was because I had to enlarge the endpin hole. Besides that, it's more hassle than it's worth to return it even if I did decide to remove it because it was so cheap. My advice? Skip this product, try something else.

Perfect cost effective replacement for my k&k pure mini in nylon stringed guitar.
Unbelievably awesome pickup for the price. Don't have much to compare it to but I have heard the dean markley external pickups they sell in music stores and it sounds way better than those. At about a 1/3 of the price? No brainer. FYI my guitar had previously had a k&k pure mini in it which is identical. In other words my body was pre drilled for this pickup. You may have a harder time than I did, especially if you're installing in a classical guitar. I could barely get my hand in the sound hole. Would've had to take to a pro if guitar was not already drilled. The sound is very good compared to the k&k, which cost 100 bucks. I can't compare exactly because I placed the pickups in different locations than the k&k pickups were. Bottom line: THIS IS A GOOD GENERIC K&K PURE MINI, WHICH COSTS 100 DOLLARS! I should note that if you want an internal pickup installed in your acoustic by a music shop, there is no way it's going to cost less than 100-150 bucks. They will not offer you cheap options like this.

It sounds nice but there is a bit of hand noise when ...
This is a very cheap version of the K&K pure mini. The piezo elements are about double the size. I have this installed in a small parlor acoustic guitar. It sounds nice but there is a bit of hand noise when I rest my palm on the bridge pins. It works and sounds much better when put through some sort of eq, whether its a fishman pro eq type box or mixer. It comes in a plane bag with no instructions so look on youtube or google the instructions for installing by the guys over at K&K. You will have to drill out the strap button to fit the jack but that's easy work. Just use a good drill bit.Overall, very effective and affordable solution to amplifying an acoustic instrument without installing an under the saddle reed type pickup.
