WORXWG896 12 Amp 7.5 Inch Electric Lawn Edger & Trencher, Orange and Black

I replaced a gas edger with this item. The gas edger was hard to start, took up a lot of space in the garage, and was not easy to use.I had a great first experience with this edger today. I needed to cut through some dense ornamental grass roots on the side of my driveway, and this handled the job nicely. Some effort was needed to push the machine, but it is light and easy to maneuver. Next, I edged around the rest of my driveway, curb, and sidewalk. It had been more than a year since my last edging. It did a fine job. My old gas edger had a longer blade and cut a bit deeper, but this was so much easier to use. It cleaned up nicely and easily, and then I hung it from a hook in my garage until next time.I have plenty of extension cords and outlets, and using a corded model was not an issue. I've had some other corded lawn equipment that was a pain because of back-and-forth patterns that were needed. Edging is just a couple of straight lines, and the cord did not get in the way or become a pain. I'm happy I saved the money on a corded model vs. buying a more expensive one that required a custom battery and charger.

I receive my electric worx edger, a few days ago so I took it out to see what it can do. And the worx electric edger perform outstanding i will recommend this edger to anyone it's better to me than those cordless battery charge ones . The worx electric edger has power my grass was overgrown and it was alittle hard at first if it was a cordless one it wouldn't have finish the job. So this is what I like about the electric worx edger it has plenty of power, I don't have to change it after using it for an hour . So for the reasons I just stated to me this is the number one edger on the market. Go buy one and you will believe too.

Overall for the price I’ve been happy with this edger. If you do buy it, be prepared to buy replacement blades (they are relatively cheap) because I’ve had mine a year, used it maybe 6 times and I already need a new blade. I do have the bad habit of riding the edge of the cement so it doesn’t look wild but still. I also took some cutters to the blade shield in the back so it would stop catching on the grass I was cutting. Really wish the front wheel was on a spring like the old school gas powered ones. But it’s not bad at all!

It’s difficult to get the handle bolts through the metal pole without pinching the electrical cord. I used a screwdriver as a guide for the bolt. Put the screwdriver through the opposite side to guide the bolt. It’s easy to push the electrical cord out of the way with the screwdriver but not so much with the bolt. Took less than 5 minutes to assemble. Easy to use and does a great job of giving our sidewalk and driveway a professional lawn maintenance look. Lightweight but powerful. Excellent price here on Amazon. Be sure to order extra blades (around $20) because you will hit rocks in the soil. Highly recommend!

I tried all of the others - battery and gas weed whipper, battery edger's, gas edger. This one has the power and is the easiest to use. Walk along with it or pull it backwards - easy in each direction and no back strain even in clay and mud situations. The drop down edge guide works really well compared to the gas edger's I tried. I use an orange16/3 cord 100ft and no problems with cord heat or power loss. Note - you are going to need a power blower after because it really tosses out the gunk in the crevice.

Excelente producto para hacer las orillas de las aceras de mi casa. Ideal para mujeres y porque no, para hombres también. No pesa nada pues se coloca en el piso. Deja unas orillas perfectas. Puedo hacer ahora mi propio jardín y me ahorro lo del jardinero. Buenísimo en tiempos de crisis económicas como la actual. Súper cómoda. Fácil de limpiar. Usa electricidad por lo que hay que tener extensiones. Le doy 5 estrellas!!!!

It took a lot of effort to make an edge for the first time after installing new grass. I had to stop every 3-6 feet to clear the mud from the blade and protective cover.I am hopeful that going forward it will be much easier with the initial cut being complete.

Bought this because my battery operated black and decker would only last five minutes and the battery would die. This thing works great. Glad i bought it.
