Q: Does anyone know how to disable the sound on this device? When using an external humidity controller, it beeps when the unit turns on...

If you've got a soldering iron, it's not hard to remove the speaker from the circuit board. We're 3 weeks in, and apart from the lack of a BEEP there's been no change to the normal operations of the unit. Just remove a couple of Philips screws on the bottom, remove the front circuit board (the one with the display LEDs), and un-solder the two connector points on the back of the speaker/buzzer (labeled "BUZ") to remove it. Put all the screws back in and you've got a silent fogger!

Q: The digital timer is not working. continuous mode works but as soon as i set the timer it never turns on. is there a fix for this issue?

When you set up the timer, it doesn't begin "fogging" immediately, it begins the "cool-down" cycle you chose - ie: off for 1 hour, run for 30 minutes, etc.

Q: Can this be used for a sulcata Tortoise?

It increases humidity, works better in an enclosed space but, if you need additional humidity in your terrarium, it should work fine.
