I use this for cutting handles for my firewood bundles and it heats up quick and works great

I needed the cutter to make comfort and safety items for daughter's wheelchair and lift - to cut nylon and polyester webbing straps. It is great and does the job!

This makes such quick, and clean cuts to polypropylene rope! No more wrestling with wire cutters and butane lighters to cut and heat seal lengths of polypro rope, as this thing makes quick work of cutting and heat sealing rope lengths for all my knotting projects. It effortlessly cuts and heat seals 1/4 l-inch to 1-inch diameter rope lengths in one easy motion.

Works better than one that coat $160, very impressed, the only thing that would be nice if it had a control to turn the heat down some. Other than that, i totally recommend for the money.

This cutter cuts well but doesn't start to get hot until the dial is set to 5 or above, at setting 5 it starts to hum and buzz and the blade starts to get hot. So I cannot says that it is working to my expectations, however at dial setting 5 and above it gets plenty hot an cuts webbing nicely, but don't expect it to be very adjustable. Maybe my unit is an exception to the rule, but I saw one other review with the same issue.

For mass production of items that require cutting nylon webbing or rattail cord, this is a beautiful, magic machine. It's a compact unit that arrived - some minor assembly required - with all tools and eager to work.After putting in the super-sharp cutting blade, it was turned on, where a magical, warm glow greeted me. I used it to cut 1" nylon webbing, which it melted like it was barely there, leaving a clean, fused edge without an excessive amount of melted, sharp bits. Compared to the "cut everything, then fuse the edges on the stovetop" technique I was using, this is already a huge, magical improvement.

Been using daily for at least 2 years. Great for smaller ropes. Ok for bigger ropes. Easy to clean. Make sure you have good ventilation. It does get smokey especially if you’re cutting big ropes.
