Pay attention to the size of the chain, this is not intended for large boats / anchors. Works great for smaller vessels (kayaks and <16’)

I have a small personal pontoon and my anchor is just a small 3.5 lb foldable anchor. I added this chain to it as it seems everyone advises to add a chain to help have a better hold. I waited to write this review until my anchor was really put to the test. Yesterday I caught a decent size northern pike that gave me a run for my money in an inflatable boat and on fairly light tackle. Each run it took I felt my anchor, with this chain, grab hold of the mucky, gross, swampy bottom of the flooded area I was fishing in. I have to admit that I never used my anchor without this chain so I can't make a fair comparison but I am extremely happy with my purchase and will continue to recommend this chain.

I use this product in a RE-PURPOSED mode to secure and safely store tall fiberglass and alum. extension ladders underneath my deck snugged up tight to the bottom of support joists with two cheap 12" aluminum shelf brackets at top rung of ladder and this chain across bottom of ladder secured with small pipe clamp on one end shackle and hasp lock/latch and keyed brass lock on other shackle.> Barely noticible at all unless someone looks under then deck> Secured with lock if it is noticed> BEST I get extra space in workshop/storage area of the garage!!!
