How long can this filter be used in the coffee maker? are they compatible with the breville touch coffee maker

Breville suggests changing the filter every 3 months, which we did. The filter is exactly like the one that came with the Espresso Touch.

What does “in” and “out” mean on the water filter time dial? Do I set current month to in? Or to the middle?

Set it to the current month. Depending on your machine it should tell you when the filter needs to be replaced.

Do we know it actually works and is not a scam?

I opened up this filter after I replaced it, and also opened up the manufacture's brand filter. They are virtually identical inside, with a similar-looking blend of charcoal and resin particles. This one was sealed a bit tighter and harder to open, but all of the parts were otherwise identical. For half the price, this looks like a very good choice.

Does it have an expiration date?

It doesnt say the expiration date, but 3 months after you start using it
