Great oil for marine applications
I use this in my Baja 26 Outlaw equipped with the 496 MAG HO. I change my oil & filter once per season regardless of hours, and always use this oil along with a quart of Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer. High RPM use and hot ambient temps break down oil quicker and this helps to keep the oil cleaner, longer and keeps oil pressure high.

For sterndrives (Mercruiser 3.0 for example), the Synthetic Blend is your best option
The 25W-40 Synthetic blend marine engine oil has been more difficult to come by in stores lately. If you're out on the water frequently, the Synthetic Blend will last longer and offer better performance than the mineral oil. Synthetic oils stick to metal parts better than mineral oils...they also offer better corrosion resistance and have higher flash points, meaning it will take higher temps to burn up synthetic oils compared to mineral. Last but not least, synthetic oils offer more superior lubrication, so your engine will actually run cooler on a synthetic blend vs a straight mineral oil. For $10 more the synthetic blend is well worth it to protect your engine.
