Q: Will it work for hot milk?

I would think so. I put hot water in it just to prime it. Dump the water then add the hot milk. I put hot wassail in it. It lasts for several hours.

Q: Does the top “lock” for easy traveling?

This Thermal Airpot has a locking, has not spilled when traveling stay upright.

Very useful on building site if there's no electric

Water stays hot all day, very easy to use and clean and saves having to boil a kettle or if no electric this is very useful if a couple need hot drinks while at work
