The bubble game has improved since I was a kid and adult me decided to buy this bubble gun for some fun with the dogs (okay fine, it was really for me). Over all the design is cute. While it worked it did not leak. I liked that it was able to stand upright on own and it made a nice amount of good sized bubbles quickly. The trigger is also an on/off switch and doesn't need to be held during use. The bubble gun needs four AA batteries, which seems like a lot. The batteries did last many hours and didn't need to be replaced for the first two and a half days of heavy usage.However, on the third day, and after hours of use, it suddenly made a terrible grinding noise and the rotating bubble wand stopped working. All the other motorized parts were still functional, just not the part that makes the bubbles. Despite this set back, I liked the bubble gun enough to exchange it for a new one and even ordered the two pack for my partner and kiddo.The second unit, having used less than half a reservoir of bubbles, failed in the exact same way as the first unit. Clearly there is some sort of design flaw with the gear that controls the bubble wand. I do not trust the short or long term quality, especially as I was using it gently and kids aren't always careful.
