Your first and last book you'll need to know investment & a secure financial life.
At the time of reading this, aged 57, I look back and wish I had read this book 30 years ago. This book is amazing. If you're lucky enough to read this book, luckier to read and grasp its easy language, you will understand how simple it is to invest in a safe manner with minimum risk and be able to generate wealth in a manner that aligns with your inner beliefs.Ever since the age of 24 I read about how 'Stocks & Shares' were a volatile thing, that could only be understood by American men. They used language that was impossible to understand. If you didn't have their wisdom you were a fool to even dare think about the world of Stocks & Shares.Simran Kaur's amazing book dispelled all of those notions for me. I'm still feeling dazed after completing the book yesterday. Once I came across it, I couldn't put it down ( well close it- I was reading it on my laptop via Kindle for PC's, making notes & highlighting). The book is riveting. I was reading it non stop for 4 days.I'm not going to give you any spoilers, that would ruin your fun. You might even feel a little angry in addition to the sense of achievement and completion after finishing reading this book. I felt angry. Angry that common men & women are prevented from having an understanding about investing, that this isn't taught in schools, that parents can't teach their children about financial security. After reading it I've sorted out my wasteful expenditure each month by going through my outgoings and incomings, re- mortgaged the house, cancelled subscriptions, put money aside for an emergency fund and reopened my investment portfolio. I am now comfortable knowing which Stock & Share Index funds I'm going to be investing in for the next 10 years, what ration of equity and what ration of bonds, what it means to diversify and invest in things that are already diversified. I will never miss an opportunity again. If you've never read a book on making money let this one be your first book.Once you've read it, you'll realise it will be the last book you'll ever need to read on the subject.I wish you, happy, stress free investing.Read this book.

Clear information accessible to all
This is a fantastic book for those who want to start their investing journey but, like me, haven't a clue where to start. There is a clear structure which explains different approaches to investing using simple and understandable analogies. The authors mission is to break down the overly complicated language used around investing and show that this really is something we can all do to improve our financial futures. Real life case studies show different apporaches people are taking all over the world and show that you don't need high salaries or generational wealth to get going!I keep returning to different sections again and again as I start to put what I've learnt into practice.Note that this book very much explains the different types of investments and does not advise where to invest your money or how to start. There are many other books out there which lead on perfectly after reading this.

Clear, empowering — and not patronising (thank god)
A friend recommended this and I’ve only flicked through so far, but I already feel more motivated to take proper control of my finances. I’ve been wanting to get my head around passive income and investing for a while, and this feels like a really accessible place to start. What I love is the tone — it’s clear, straightforward and no-nonsense, but still friendly. It doesn’t talk down to you or use that weirdly patronising “girlboss” tone some finance books aimed at women lean into. This feels genuinely empowering, not cringe.Really looking forward to reading it properly and putting it into practice.

Informative Book
So informative. Finished it and finally understood investing. I think the information is broken down well and the tasks at the end of each chapter are great.I know it says not to beat ourselves up for not investing earlier but it's hard not since it's not as complicated as the world makes it out to be.I would highly recommend.

Absolutely Brilliant
I’m a wee bit late to the game by reading this in my 40’s (but maybe that’s because there were no books like this when I needed them in my 20’s??) and I so wish I had started my investing journey sooner!I agree with everything Simran says. I thought the stock market was a complicated exclusive city boys club where male rich brokers help the rich males get even richer by negotiating risky high stakes deals worth thousands that I had no business knowing about. How wrong I was! These men have been pulling the wool over our eyes to keep us out! Should have known it couldn’t be that complicated. I love the way she explains the stock market as ‘eBay for shares’ - simple as that. Epiphany moment or what? You can literally start with a £1/$1 on an online trading platform! So girls/ladies read this book immediately to arm yourself with the knowledge and go forth into the stock market breach my friends and begin your investing journey!
