Does what it says. I purchased this to darken and insulate because the sun beams inside the room. I bought longer and folded the non Velcro end to sew a rod pocket.Using a tension rod I inserted it into the window so it can be slid open when we want light and closed when we don’t without having to be concerned about Velcro not sticking.I will mount a few small pieces of Velcro to close the sides but it darkens and insulates very well.Using iron on sewing tape or actually sewing a pocket and using a tension rod for less fuss is working best for me. If you don’t want to lose length use scrap fabric vs folding over to make the rod pocket or mount ceiling hooks in your window and put it in a track —I’m in an area where temps get up to 115 degrees, velcro being heated by the sun isn’t going to work. The fabric is great. Thick. Weighted.

We bought one originally to cover our daughters bedroom windows, and we were so happy with how versatile it was and easy to install. Our daughters window faces the west during bedtime, so in the summer at 7pm, it's normally bright in their room. This blocks it out completely. It has helped keep light out and also helped keep their room cool.We love it so much we bought a second one. Highly highly recommend.

These are fabulous! I needed a pair of these to block sunlight/reduce heat coming thru from my family room unusually wide sliding door (original single paned) and upon install (which took no time at all and was very secure) the room temperature was noticeably cooler. I purchased the “white” color which is in fact a light silvery satiny color but I honestly don’t mind it. Plus I’m using it behind a sheer and there’s also a curtain layer which makes it not as noticeable unless I have the curtain and sheer completely open. The only thing I wished this thing had was the ability to roll it up almost like a Roman shade for when you don’t need it but it’s easy enough to just undo it from the Velcro. It’ll be interesting for winter too when the cold air tends to be a problem in this room also. I’m now considering getting this for my office for the same insulating effect.

Easy to install, cuts down on the light.I do think the size was inaccurate; what I ordered was supposed to be 47 inches wide, but was only about 42 or so. It still fit in the window I ordered it for (I was expecting to have overlap on both sides, instead there was a tiny bit of a gap), so it still served my purposes but … be aware and check the width before you start installing the hook and loop strip, I guess.

Well made and Velcro sticks where placed. I wish the manufacturer would make 6 inch wide finished pieces. I cut myself, but the fabric really frays if not finished. I use the pieces behind full sized blackout curtains and on top of the crack on pull down blackout honey comb shades. Together this essentially keeps all light out….works great. I ended up getting tailor to finish the pieces.

These are amazing. I bought them for my son porch windows because the sun shines in so much that I can't sit on my porch. I put these up and totally blocks out the Sun. They fit perfectly and the velcro is very sticky. I ended up ordering more

Very beautiful fabric I must say and Very easy to install. I gave 3 stars because when I went to remove the adhesive tape to straighten it it took a lot of paint off the wall!!! I thought it wouldn't damage walls as stated but that is not true!!!

These curtains are very nice and very easy to install. We purchased two of these two years ago. They were in a shade of blue that are no longer available from the seller. Those curtains seemed a bit better quality and also the rope that is used to tie the curtains was longer and of a thicker gauge. I don't know if it was a mistake, but the ropes we got with the two pink curtains we just bought are a thinner gauge and quite a bit shorter. I lined them up at the top and took a picture of the shorter length compared to with two years ago. Definitely not as good. I can always purchase new ropes to tie the drapes, but the quality is definitely worse now than it was with our purchases two years ago.
