Important, Actionable Account of Manipulative Design
Read this book if you want to understand why you, someone you love, someone you work with, or just someone you see while you're out and about in the world has difficulty putting down their phones. Compulsive use is a problem that willpower alone will never solve. We need to work together to hold the tech industry accountable. This book is accessible and detailed.

Powerful and thought-provoking. Definitely a must-read book.
This book is incredibly interesting and thought-provoking. I started reading the book this weekend and could not put it down. Through personal stories and research the book helped me understand some of the issues I’ve had to deal with as a father of school-age children and as someone who is fond of technology. The book also provides some very interesting ideas on how our society and the tech industry can address the overuse of technology. Bravo!

Eye-opening and Comprehensive
An eye-opening, comprehensive look at the dynamics and the dangers of tech overuse and what it will take to reverse this trend. The presentation is level-headed but unflinching in exposing the tech industry's market motivations and design techniques for promoting overuse and addiction. Historical examples such as the battle with the tobacco industry shed light on the current crossroads and on educational and legal strategies to help restore online/offline balance.

Essential and human
A must-read, Unwired presents essential thorough research on the tech industry and its promotion of addictive behaviors. It recognizes our struggle to use those technologies with a sense of control with a human approach resonating with me as a parent. It is an illuminating read at a time when we should be reflecting on how to regulate technology sensibly and much more drastically than the topical discourse that exists today.
