It is small and compact, but works great. I had no issues scanning any of the barcodes that I needed and the price can't be beat. It has been used almost daily and I have had no issues with it. There's no additional applications or anything you need to install, it is truly plug and play.

This barcode scanner was made of cheap plastic and the usb c was slightly bent when arrived. Tried to fix the setting but they never saved

This scanner very easy to use. The documentation that comes with it could be better but the unit is easy enough to use that the documentation is not a deal breaker by any means.

The Alacrity 2D Barcode Scanner could be a good product but "the company" as they refer to themselves in the Disclaimer Notice does not appear to accept responsibility for anything involving the scanner.The scanner is small and is suppose to plug into the USB C port on your smartphone. The problem is the connector on the scanner may not be long enough to connect to the phone when using a case. As to the included "instructions" - there isn't any. There is a two sided sheet of paper with 2D codes to change the configurations and a disclaimer. I didn't realize until I went back and read the description and photos that there are 2 scan buttons on the side of the device. The scanner did scan the barcodes I tried correctly.As it stands right now I would not consider this worth purchasing. It's cheaply made and with no real instructions or support from "the company" I'd look elsewhere.

Auto induction trigger, don't need to press the trigger to scan codes.It can also be scanned by pressing either button button on either side.plug and play.no need to tediously connect them via Bluetooth 。
