I'll let this macerate to see if it gets better but upon first impression I like the original detoir noir better. It smelled fresher, more natural, lasted longer and projected better. The atomizer was also better.This one doesn't smell bad and is a darker version better suited for night time. However, for the value, I think you're getting a better buy with the original, which is also cheaper.

This bottle has a harsher ashtray vibe - different from even Layton Excusif. Missing the rich cinnamon and lavender. Just light apple 🍏 and ashtray vibes.4 to 5 hours longevity.Mid fragrance overall.

I bought PDM Layton exclusif, my son and I share my fragrance collection, I tried the PDM L.E. at the store, I didn't like it at first, but the drydown hit me, and I kept liking it more and more, I got a couple of compliments and after a day I smelled it on my jacket and I went back and bought a bottle, my son immediately took to it, so I needed a substitute because he think he fly, so I came across a review of this and did a blind buy! Absolutely no regrets! 1 for 1 for me, I actually think it projects more than the original! BANG!!!

The name (and reputation) lived up to the hype. Marvelous scent, great longevity and sillage. Perfect alternative to PDM Layton Exclusif.

First 2 test sprays, heavy almond scent almost overbearing. Has been sitting in the dark in a cool closet, maceration has made the scent smell better, but not too much better. as it is right now, I would not suggest on getting this on a blind buy at all. Will let this sit another couple more weeks. But as it looks, this one is for the trash.This found its way to the trash can. Do not buy this, it is horrible. Unless you can tolerate and overpowering rotting almond scent.

Like stepping into a freshly sanitized gas station/liqour store and getting smacked in the face by a leather handbag full of incense. Not pleasant. Like classic old spice after shave.Edit: After sitting for about a month in the dresser, it’s lost a lot of its unpleasantness. It’s a very “green” scent. It smells decent, it’s just not for everyone.
