Best Budget Studio Tracking Headphone
Samson SR950 is close back headphone. It can be used for tracking(less spill or leakage of sound), Mixing and Listening. This comes with good frequency range response somewhere between 14hz - 15000hz. No extra coloring of audio such Bass Boost or Treble Boost because it is designed to give transparent results.Come with good quality fixed 2.5 meter cable and interchangeable 1/4" and 1/8" stereo jacks (No Mic). Ideal for Recording, Mixing works. Can also be used with mobile phones for listening music who likes No Nonsense Audio.Headphone is light weight and cans are relatively comfortable compared to all similar headphones ( I also own Audio Technica ATH M40 which is way more expensive). In this budget, this headphone is great for the purpose.

A Hidden Gem Among Big Names
DisclaimerI would like to state these observations have all been done via plugging through a sound interface and correcting the sound frequencies then playing the highest available quality of Music available present(24bit/96khz) , Its A Studio Reference Headphone not a Headphone of Truth that you will plug it into anything and expect a 64kbps mp3 to sound like fine wine . Invest In other things as well like an headphone amplifier( it has 32 ohm impedance so you don't have to worry about powering it up) and decent lossless file quality. If you want to enjoy the finer things in life you have to put in the effort.Writing This review as A Musician and Audiophile.I purchased these cans because i already have its Famous Cousin SR850( they are Legendary in their own sense) and also these were the only studio headphones that have Velour earcups in them , which is non existent in this price range you will get them in higher ranges above 10k and i prefer them over leather because leather disintegrates over times and its a total mess . I have read lot of reviews from HI-Fi and others sites most of the veterans and noobs are swearing and going to say that these sound triple what they are priced. As i had the SR850 i knew that these were not false claimsThe Sound QualityInitially when you listen through them , you will be disappointed but don't worry I ran through Isotek Burn in Full system Enhancer a couple of times ( For people who are wondering its a set of flac audio files that open up and burn in all the frequencies this headphone has to offer) , after running a couple of times i could notice the changes and the frequencies becoming more profound) , its been 24 hours and the sound quality is every bit people keep raving about The mids are delectable , the highs are bit piercing but not uncomfortable still manageable , the Lows are tasty not too overbearing appropriate( if you're basshead don't expect your mind to disintegrate but yes its not distorted) , Noise isolation is good , no Complaints will help me a lot.Build QualityI really don't care How they look , Its plasticky , at this price point i dont expect a Louvre masterpiece however , the clamps are bit tight you will have to remove them from time to time for prolonged listening session.OverallIf you care for the sound quality and only the sound quality and not fancy names and showing off to your peers , Go for this Eyes Closed.

Excellent sound stage!
I thought my old headphones (Superlux HD662 monitor) were really good. This is a step above. Bass is deep and the soundstage is really better. The mids are clear, the highs are sharp and overwhelming. I thought there was sibilance, but it turned out to be bad audio source. I put some cotton padding to reduce the highs. An amp is not required to use this headphone but with an amplifier these perform better. Bass is much better with an amp compared to not using one. Plus with an amp you can listen at lower volume than required. The sound isolation in these are just OK. I mean you can hear the door bell or kids shouting and screaming (a bit faintly) while playing. You can drown the outside noise if you listen at high volume but it will definitely kill your ears fast.I haven't heard any Sennheiser or AKG's or any other brand so cannot make a comparison between these and them.

OK headphones
It's a ok headphones but there are too much of highs you will need a eq to fix them which is a big draw back at this price point, Instead of Samson Sr 950 I will Recommend to go for Samson z35 if you are going for a good close back headphones...

Tastefully balanced sound
I've worn several cans over the last decade or so and this is definitely one of the best ever. These are tuned beautifully with a mild boost in the upper mids but without compromising the intended authenticity of sound. I found these better than Audio Technica M30X and AKG K72 for monitoring and light mixing / mastering as they seemed to offer a more balanced output (AT is marginally biased towards the highs and the AKG has a noticeable drop in the mids). For the price, these headphones offer remarkable value, comfort and of course - excellent audio reproduction.

Superb soundstage and imaging for the price.
Great headphones for monitoring. Sound is on the bright side. Needed stretching as clamping force is too much. Great value for money. Ordered brainwavz xl suede for it to make it have more bass. Lets see how it goes.Update: Jack wire became loose sound started cutting off on one side. Only plays from both in a fixed arrangment now.

It blew my Brian’s out,
I have fell in love with it, paired along with Apple Music lossless service, the songs I loved, give me goosebumps and every time I play them I find more and more things. Thank you to Samson for making it this good and cheep. ( I have been listening to them for a month or so) sadly on my left ear cup the Samson branding was missing when it arrived, this is the only problem I have had till date with them. The ear cups are so comfortable and passive noise cancellation is also really good too 😊.
